Okay, so teacher's day was not exactly the epitome of fun or anything close to that, and the mass dance was a performance for the very fortunate hall wall, but we went to watch RATATOUILLE!
But before we watched the movie, Cecilia, Chip and I were roaming on the streets of Orchard waiting for a certain entity to arrive. And guess who we saw?
We saw the a-class celebrity status of a teacher, GLAM QUEEN!
Well, hot celebrity status teachers deserve more entry space here, so here's a bio of her.
1. Beauty and brains
Not only is she glamorously glam, the epitome of glam, but she is also a French, Japanese (?), English, yada speaking multi-linguist! And she has Masters in Art (I think), and she is so svelte and slim and glam! Of course, an impeccable fashion sense doesn't hurt.
2. Laid-back glam
Yes, she is so glamorously laid-back (or slack, whichever way you see it..). Known for her tendency to belong in several committees, she is often never seen doing those mundane duties. She does up the glam factor when she appears in those committee photographs though, maybe that is here purpose. Did you know she was in the IT committee?
3. Hot pursuit
Of course, such a hot glam figure has her fair share of guys clamouring to catch her eye. During the Year5 level camp, we spotted Choo's arch-enemy no. 2 goofing around her and Mrs. Chan (and anfeeee, but that's another case), no doubt trying to get her glam attention (and because Mrs. Chan is so cute-looking and slim too). Many other male teachers have also tried to hit on her, but to no avail..
And on that topic, back to today. We saw: GLAM QUEEN AND HER HUSBAND! (husband, must be)
Here goes: we were walking innocently and blankly down the street when Cecilia started saying, "Is that xiuli?" about three times rather shocked-sounding. Me and Chip looked up the street, and there they were, QUEEN and KING on Orchard Road on broad daylight! And the GLAM QUEEN, being the stately royalty she was, started waving very nicely and politely to us. When they passed by us, I saw the KING asking GLAM QUEEN something, obviously something along the lines of "Who were those 3 people who dared to accost my QUEEN?", then QUEEN was leaning in close to whisper something in KING'S ear. So anyway, Cecilia later remarked on how the GQ herself had lost her composure in shock for about a second before regaining her glam-ness. First time she was actually shocked and unglam and me and Chip missed it!
But anyway, on the KING-- he looks like the superstar judge with the shaved head! You know, the whats-his-name? Er, the quite funny one. Nah, he wasn't glam, probably because of the high expectations we had of some man in western suit and tie, or prince charming on a white horse, something highly glam too. Of course he wasn't an ogre or anything, he was decked in casual Friday clothes and carrying her shopping bags. I guess he was wu guan duan zheng.
So after this shocking revelation, we continued roaming the streets, and then we headed for Lido, where we called the certain entity, and she said she was still at home (!), and then, we headed to Cineleisure to catch the later show. At which we tried calling her, but she was u-n-r-e-a-c-h-a-b-l-e. So we basically had mini-OBs at her unreachability and causing us grief and panic (okay, not really.).
But she had arrived and miraculously sent us a message. We decided not to blame her or extort her money, but graciously forgave her. Well, it was a faulty SIM card and screwy phone's fault. Plus she had overslept to Redhill, I have no idea how that could have happened.
So anyway, RATATOUILLE!
It's nice, not in the exaggerated way or anything, just a simple story told in the simple manner. And the food is so nice! And the rat's expression of ecstasy is so cute. Nice lar. :)
*
After the movie we set off for home, except for the poor entity--CHOO WEI LIN, who had to go for the CSI thing. Poor little girl. But she tried to make us jealous by telling us how she would be able to meet hot police officers, to which I said only loser officers get stuck with kids, the rest go solve real crimes, and to that she said at least they would be hot losers. Okay, I get your point. I hope the officer was a fat loser who ate donuts. Then I would get the vindictive pleasure of laughing at Choo.
*
Sokemay just msn-ed saying she could have watched the 3pm Ratatouille. Aww.
*
Tomorrow would kind of be the last day of fun, since I guess everyone would be starting on the BORINGGG revisions. Oh well.

I have dozens of stuff not done. Damn.
Tomorrow lar, I am killed by WR.

So anyway, we were basically verbally abusing this disgusting figure today, and how he had betrayed us, left his little bao bei hai zi men all alone in this cold, cold world. In short, WE STILL VEHEMENTLY HATE HATE HATE HIM. Let's just hope we will never have to see his shudder inducing face again, or I may just puke.
Oh, by the way, he is F***-lao-shit, as you have correctly guessed.
* * *
Today just passed mundanely enough, except for the discipline talk. I tell you, we never once had to have a whole assembly period set aside just so that the principal could address us on such matters. Seriously, the principal?? These sort of things were usually not so serious that the principal had to be called up. This sort of stuff was usually told to us by the various DPs. See how we have degenerated?
I cannot stand the juniors. I really cannot stand it when they behave in their usual "we are the rulers of the world 'cos we are cool" way. When they do that, you really feel like sticking a pencil up their arses, except you would not want to dirty the pencil so badly.
I believe there are several causes for this phenomenon. For one, the juniors are arses. Okay, so maybe we were bad examples, and maybe the degradation had begun with us, but really, they are getting from bad to worse. Like an exponential decay curve okay?
Here are the top 3 reasons for the phenomenon we call "The Fall of Kiw Dynasty and the Rise of the Arsehole Dynasty":
1. Change of government. Also called Government Failure in economic terms.
You see, it's very simple. You want good xiao feng, you must have good discipline committee (DC). You compare the DC now and the DC then. Now it is like a freak show, a who's-who of the WORST BOOT-LICKING COLLECTION OF TEACHERS WHO KNOW NUTS ABOUT DISCIPLINE AND DO NOT DESERVE SUCH HIGH RANK IN THE SOCIAL LADDER. Back in our days, the committee was pro okay. No one dared defy them, everyone respected them. Elites, true blue disciplinary elites with undeniable self discipline.
2. Fall of the prefect days.
Okay, so everyone hated the prefects, but at least then there was a group of people there to uphold discipline among the students themselves. They are the eyes of the teachers. Again, yes, they were hated by everyone, but really, they are the sacrificial sheep the school had to have to keep order when teachers were not around, right? In exchange of being hated by everyone, you got those extra superficial points and whatever insignificant stuff, but that is another story.The point is, nowadays all we have are the SCs, which are just glorified PSLs with not much to do with discipline, or at least, they do not have to be disciplined themselves. As if the SCs even tuck in their shirts neatly or have acceptable hairstyles themselves. SCs are more associated with fun; discipline is not fun.
3. Asshole juniors.
'Nuff said.
You know, of all the disciplinary problems we face, you know what annoys me the most? It is when I see people with their shirts totally hanging out. I can stand those folded shirts or shoelaced shirts and whatever, but those people with their shirts totally out really are disgusting okay.
And I give you...top 3 reasons uniforms(shirt/ blouse, whatever) are not tucked in.
1. Because they are too stupid to know they look really stupid.
If not tucking in the shirt actually made you look nice hor, I wouldn't have minded that much. But seriously dahling, it makes you derriere and hips look large and is totally unflattering to your body shape, giving it an unwanted pear-shape. Seriously, you all look like blimps. I mean, you don't tuck in other shirts never mind, because you will look okay, but really, the uniform shirt is fugly when you don't cover the red tag. You also don't want to advertise for such a no brand shirt factory right? Don't be ridiculously stupid lar. Not only that, you look unkempt too. So you think it's cool to look like you just had some tussle or was just sexually harassed is it? It is not lor. You will just look like a darn whore.
2. To air the scrotum.
You know how biology thought us that the temperature must not be too high so that the spermatozoa would be of best quality? This reason certainly is valid. For guys, that is. We know how much those balls mean to you, of course must protect them right? That is why you all like to let the shirt hang loose and free, to let them have a breather. Yep, perfectly reasonable.

3. Looking like a darn beggar is cool nowadays.

Yes, we all know the allure of looking like a beggar--you get to be associated with the Gai Bang, you can anywhere, anytime and anyhow ask people to give you money, and also , being a beggar is so darn sexy.
However, you must know that even Soke May, GBBZ, also never so yi guan bu zheng okay. She is one neat hot momma.

Sorry Soke May.
So my point is, tuck in your shirt (or fold it) because it looks so damn ugly you look like a pad with wings.
Right.
I am so irritated partly because every morning there is this damn junior who takes the same bus as me who always shows up with her shirt all loose and it looks damn ugly. And I'm not a morning person, and thus am not able to cope with such blatant and corrosive ugliness thus early. The urge to go over and pull at the ends of the shirt was always so, so strong. I always want to rip the shirt of hers into two just for its pure ugliness. But of course, my desires were not that strong. But she is so, so, so ugly. SO. VERY. UGLY. One day I may just go over and ask her if she has balls down there.
Sorry, pms.

It is because of the negative vibes we are getting from the passing Mercury, according to zodiac queen Cecilia.
There are many irksome and irritating things in life we just cannot avoid. All you can do is sit back, relax, and frequently bitch about it till its over.
Obviously, the most irksome of all are those 'promos are coming!' doomsday prophets. I mean, yes, the promos are a big deal and all that, but seriously, must everyone make it worse by doing the cheesy countdown thing? As if we really needed it, something to make us even more freaked out as we already are. Come on, we can count. We can subtract. The least you can do is to help us by letting us go on ignorantly, blind to the imminent, eminent D-day until it finally comes. I know, its escapism, but everyone loves to escape from reality once in a while, yeah? And it's not like we are in that much trouble; even if we flunk our 'A's we can still make it into some Taiwan University.
Another irksome runner-up is the existence of an entity seemingly omniscient, yet woefully obtuse in terms of human susceptibilities. Er, yeah. You know what I mean. It is neither a fault,a sin, nor a flaw to be adept and a consummate master in certain areas of the studious intellect. It is, however, brusque and uncultured to so openly show your contempt for people you deem cerebrally subjacent to you. Maybe you don't mean it, but it really seems to us like a snub. It is not nice, geddit?
That paragraph was act cheem on purpose de. Haha.
Speaking of studies, I really hate the way so much darn emphasis is placed on, well, studies. And there is always this feeling that science has more priority then humanities. Seriously, it really seems so. I cannot provide examples or proof to back that claim, but really, its just this gut feeling you get. I also really loathe the way chances are only given to, say, the top 10 percentile of the cohort, and the rest of the lower 90 percentile eat their dust. I mean, as much as the word 'eating' is tantalising to me, it isn't much fun to eat the left over, stale academic dust of the others. Nope, not fun. Sometimes I feel that I should have gone to some other non-special school, it would have been better, maybe.
Last but infinitely not least: teachers. Half of them are nice, caring people, but the other half should not even be allowed within a 50 metre radius of other people, in case rudeness, flirtuenza or blatant stupidity spreads. I do not agree to the phrase "Those who can't, teach". Maybe the author of this phrase meant "Some who can, teach; most who can't, teach too; all who can't teach, teach PE, but those who teach PE are not necessarily all those who can't teach". However, due to the fact that the behaviours of lousy teachers suck to central atom of the core, the bad teachers are the most noticeable and, haha, conspicuous that no one ever notices the okay teachers. Also, since the above phrase is really to wordy and long-winded, the author decided just to draw out the essence of it, "Those who can't, teach".
Other irksome things just don't cut it. There is the annoyance of listening to some oldies love song station throughout the day, which is mildly annoying, with all the 90s washed-out chinese singers screaming their throats out to the beat of some disco tempo, with those cheesy lyrics which make you feel like magicking your ears out and being like George. But the top 4 irksome things are so irksome you sometimes feel like wringing someone's neck with your bare hands, or thumping the person to death using a borrowed Geography or Biology textbook, splash concentrated HCl onto someone, or, even more gruesome, stabbing someone with words so sharp they actually bleed to a figurative death. Wow. Morbid shit.
On this deathly note, I bid you adieu. Happy Teacher's Day Week.

When you are really sleepy and tired, you really appreciate it when you hit your bed (mattress) and lie there, feeling sleep arriving. When you feel that you are at your wit's end and you are just so frustrated, you really feel content when you can just have a gossiping session with the other hosts who can empathise. When you really feel that you cannot take it anymore, it is nice to just have someone who can hear your outbursts, someone to be there to vigorously agree to all those venomous things you say.
I had also come to witness first hand two of the finest specimens from the species known as the lovey-dovey couplia, and I must say it is highly interesting to observe their behaviours and habits. They are highly antisocial actually, preferring to stick to their other halves, and generally do not mix with any other species in the same community. Also, it is found that the male specimen is in fact more dependent of the female specimen, and is highly clingy. We deduce that this may be because of the psychological inferiority the male specimen feels at being less attractive than the female specimen, and feels the need to gain a male ego boost by being with his other half. Another hypothesis is that the male is highly protective, and constantly needs to be by the other half's side, so as to protect his territory.
I guess they are not that bad, they are truly, madly, deeply in love, you have to excuse them. I guess their love for each other kind of made them blind to the others around them, giving the phrase "love is blind" another more profound meaning. Nah.
But anyway, it wasn't as if we did not have fun. It was just that the overwhelming pissed-off mood loomed over us so much so that any fun we had was like undermined by a lot. I know that I did enjoy part of the night safari trip, except for the part where I had first witnessed the couple behaviour and did not know how to handle it; I was pissed then lar. Also, the Sentosa trip was fun, because I had learnt to stop being a light bulb and left them in their own company instead.
Okay, so I wasn't the best and most responsible host, and I could have reacted less pissed-off-ish-ly, but then again, who can? I guess of the other 40+ students I was just fortunate/unfortunate enough to tio the other half of the most famous couple on campus.
I think I do not have that much things to blog about after all. It was an experience, for sure. And I got to hang out with you people till pretty late on a school purpose, and have an excuse not to do homework. I mean, how often does that happen? Yes, it was stressful, yes, we were and are fatigued, and yes, it was frustrating. But it was still, er, an experience.
I wish that I could say something good about the teachers in charge, but somehow, in my mind, this short ugly little man with a shiny pate keeps appearing, interfering with any possible positive comments about the teacher. Irresponsible Hamsome Hong is a menace I tell you. He is one of the most useless of all teachers, preferring to shirk his responsibilities and wield his teacher-ly power bluntly and stupidly. And here I thought teachers were supposed to be educated.
I learnt to appreciate school life here a little better, I guess. With all those politics, backstabbing and petty catfights and cold wars and segregation you get over there, you really find that being in this school, no matter how blatantly dumb teachers can get, no matter how you dislike the SCs, no matter how you feel you don't fit in in your class, you know you at least have a bunch of good friends who will not fall out with you, or backstab you. You know how you can niao someone and make someone so embarrassed and still get forgiven in the end (haha, Sokemay, sorry arh)
I'm so glad.
Saturday, August 18 00:35
Sorry, I can't focus enough to blog a proper entry. I know, disappointing.
One good thing is that we are going to Sentosa tomorrow, and I can sleep on the long journey back home. Yeah, sometimes, we just need those simple pleasures in live to feel so sweetly content.
My matress beckons me, go live your free, happy, bloghopping days at some other hot blogs. You can try Cecilia's one, always worth the visit. Because even if she did not blog, you can check her archives for the past juicy gossips. Too bad she deleted the V.P. post...
Now really, I've got to go. Seeya.
Tuesday, August 14 21:18
I am currently in the major freak-out mode. Because once the buddies come, we will collapse under the homework pile! Oh no!! How?? How??
Well, one good thing is that the toilet has never looked so sparkling clean. You know, it's so clean its almost freaky. Like, the mirror is now, well, highly reflective. Cool.
Oh no. Oh no. I'm not prepared!
* * *
Anyway, seems like people do follow my sound advice. Krystal and Yunxuan both went for haircuts, although none were as creative and daring as the one Soke May, Xu Mei and I pulled off. It isn't that hot news too, since none of the hairdos(?) were particularly disastrous, it hasn't created much of a buzz...
Our lives are still darn boring. Not that I need more excitement, especially since... THE BUDDIES ARE COMING TOMORROW!!!
* * *
How how how?
I think I better do the EOM now lar, seems like I will never get it done if I put it off. GAH.
* * *
See you tomorrow. :( While I, er, revel in my nervousness.
Sunday, August 12 15:55
And there is the GP essay class thing tomorrow. I haven't made up my mind on which topic to pick.
Again, I am running out of topics to blog about. I haven't had a satisfactory entry for days, weeks, something. Please, someone do something funny/exciting/different these days can? No, I'm not talking about not doing homework, or not being hardworking, exhilarating as it may seem to some of you.
I mean something like mutilated hair (been there, done that, but still exciting!), or a scandal (quite boring too), or a case where we can bitch, I mean blog, about some shit juniors/teachers/someone or another.
We need these sort of news to liven up the days, man! If not we will be stifled in the mundane sameness of life.
So please, I BESEECH you to help us!!
* * *
Seeya.
Saturday, August 11 20:28
No, I'm not going to say it was surprisingly intellectual and touching; in fact it was crudely humorous. And crudely humorous is good. Of course, they dealt with topics about environment(?) and lousy governance and whatever, so maybe it was intellectual. But funny.
Yay for crude humour and nonsensical-ish plot!
Its a must-watch okay! Just because it is so niao and funny. Yep.
* * *
4 more days till our Nanjing Buddy arrives. Oh no, I'm not prepared leh.. Not at all.
I think of the growing homework load (does it feed on our fear?) and I am all ready to freak out. Oh my god!! How??!!
Okay, so this probably is the retribution we get for laughing at the Yi Zhong people that time. Now we kena when the stress level is at its all time high. Oh man. How are we supposed to enjoy this (okay, technically, this is not supposed to be enjoyable) when we are swarmed with annoying flies, erm, I mean homework? AND, we have to put up 3 items, as if shava there wasn't enough. Why can't they just get the band or choir or what to perform??? GAH.
* * *
I'm doing the 2006 GP comprehension which is fiendishly difficult and sickening.
If I ever fail GP during the promos *smacks wood*, I will post suicide notes into AHpat's locker, carve out "GP KILLED ME" on my arm (lightly, I'm not the self-mutilating type) and then threaten to bludgeon myself to death using the GP TYS (or ten of them bundled together..) until they give in and promote me out of fear, or, if all fails, allow me to quit school and be a vagabond for the rest of my life.
Nah, emo's out. I shall not fret about the promos now. If not got pimple outbreak okay. I shall instead fret about the Nanjing buddy. Oh no.
*
From 'Beautiful Girls'-
You're way too beautiful girl
That's why it'll never work
You'll have me suicidal, suicidal
When you say it's over
Damn all these beautiful girls
They only wanna do your dirt
They'll have you suicidal, suicidal
When they say it's over
*
Right... Talk about subliminal messages. No wonder kids nowadays are so, er, suicidal. No, I think being pseudo-suicidal is safer for your life. But no, I'm just talking nonsense, WE SHOULD STOP HAVING SUICIDAL THOUGHTS!
Life is great if you learn to neglect some stuff.
* * *
So anyway, watch The Simpsons Movie! The are a couple of touching, aww-inducing moments, but they are very brief, like split-second. Go watch!!!
Good night! :D
Tuesday, August 7 21:40
Colours!!
RED ORANGE YELLOW GREEN BLUE INDIGO VIOLET
Okay, pointless but colourful. Yay!
Well, it's almost Singapore's 42nd Birthday. So we should be happy and have cake! Not literally, but. Yeah.
I would usually have commented on how the juniors were getting worse, like the exponential decay curve, but since I don't want to sound too emo today, nah, I shall cut them some slack.
I haven't done the peer marking thing yet leh! Sorry arh, Chip, let you down. I will do it tomorrow. :D
Okay, good night.
Monday, August 6 22:46
Oh well.
I HAVE FINISHED MY LIT ESSAY!
Okay, good night.
Sunday, August 5 22:20
The rate of decrease of my blog's readership is directly proportional to the rate at which the Promos are approaching.
The rate at which bloggers are blogging is indirectly proportional to the rate at which the Promos are approaching.
The rate of approaching doom and devastation is directly proportional to the rate at which the Promos are approaching.
It is like Death, slowly and silently approaching, cold-blooded. Pardoning only those who pray hard enough. That is to say, study. Religiously. You can almost smell it, that desperation, the people breaking out into cold, figurative sweat, filled with toxins produced by stress, reeking of possible failure.
It will not be long before people start preparing for it, that figurative death. We would say, "Give my love to my friends, tell them not to forget me when they get to University." Or, maybe, "As my death wish, can you please kill Mr. Tan (of course, this is a made-up, fictitious name, nothing to do with a certain GP related person)?" Then it would be the funerals. The weeping, the sobbing, the obbing, the disbelief. The loss, of course. The denial, the pleading, the screaming. The suicidal tendencies. The killing urges.
Elitism would bring about our downfall. We would be a batch of newly made success driven individuals who are the same. We would be driven by the same goals, defeated by the same enemies. Enemies like failure and fear of failing, nothing noble like evil or demons. We would live life to the fullest futility, worshipping affluence, mingling with the rich, demeaning the poor, snubbing the uneducated. Like education and intellect were the purpose, the means.
Sorry arh, read to much dystopian texts lately. My mind is filled with the darkest thoughts and all those warped futures. Add in the eminent Promos and you get the saddest entry ever. Sad in the sense that it is filled with the very essence which sucks hope out, like, er, Dementors. Fear (Lupin says Dementor=Fear).
And also, having just done my GP journal on religion, my mood isn't all too good. I ______ preachers. Like, all they do is preach, stuff it down your throat, who cares if you choke? YOU MUST CONVERT. WE WANT TO HELP. No, preaching is not the usual okay hymns and Matthew (?) and Luke (?), those make sense, those are not irritating. Preaching is the force-feeding, the crying and lamenting; those act-charismatic people who pitch and preach, like those over-enthusiastic, sinister salesmen. Preachers scare, not care.
Whoa. It's a The Handmaid's Tale flashback, the theocratic, oppressive government which warps Christian beliefs.
* * *
I am so tired. Not sleepy. We are all tired. Sleepy would be an understatement, of a time before we knew to be tired.
* * *
But we must be happy! What would be the point if we were not happy? We would be living for nothing then. Just pushing our tired selves along in the endless road of doing, doingdoingdoing.
doing, like the sound a hoppy thing makes, doing-ing until the end. In pursuit of something, until we lose sight of the something and we just keep on pursuing. So we must be happy; when we lose sight of our pursuit, at least we would still have happiness. A side-effect (GP passage says so), but happiness is happiness.
Sorry, The Handmaid's Tale really has a way to make people depressed.. Really. Like a Dementor in written form.
Okay, must go sleep, if not I will freak out as I have not done any homework yet. ANY.
