Linette was telling me how her SPH colleague from FASS enlightened her on how FASS people dressed. Supposedly everyone wears shorts or leggings, and only PRCs wore jeans. The only pairs of shorts I own are the school PE shorts, and my at-home-shorts, which is just a code name for luridly-coloured, loose, comfy shorts. As for leggings, you wouldn't want to see my legs wrapped up like bratwurst, would you? If I wore leggings the entire FASS cohort would scream and be struck blind, so, no leggings. Plus, it's Singapore (read: bloody hot and humid), why the heck would you want to wrap your legs up like dumplings? You'll probably end up with fungi-covered legs, and that's just the best-case scenario.
According to this style report from Linette, I'll probably end up as a friendless loser. Then maybe I can hang out with Yingyu and her father.
Anyway, Empire State really is a NYNY rip-off. Not that I'm complaining or anything. But because of that, I am now broke, which is understandable, since I haven't had a job since God-knows-how-long-ago. Yesterday was fun, though, since I haven't seen some of you guys in a while. Although we really should have someone bring a proper calculator. That way we can satisfy the HTHT (shh, this is our secret codeword, no one must know what it stands for! Okay, sorry for being such a turd, HTHT=Heart-to-heart talk) cravings of some people. Although HTHTs will probably turn into some reminiscence/gossip (what gossip? I don't know, ask GG-wannabe) session.
Things that make party-planners happy:
1. High turn-out rates
2. Laughter at tables
3. No whining about lousy planning
4. Happy people
Three out of four ain't bad; I shall assume that you people are happy, since none of you cried or threw tantrums last night. Not that I've ever seen any of you throw tantrums. I think. The whining, however was led by the picky Miss Choo, who, despite claiming to be tired and in need of a bath, managed to summon enough energy to complain about my lousy planning.
True though, I'm too slack to plan things thoroughly, but where's the fun in sticking to some slipshod plan made by me? I'm actually more of a contact person, not a planner. Which makes it easy for me to push the blame on people who give suggestions. (tsk tsk)
It's almost July now. Which means getting my shopping done, and using up my various vouchers (yay Kinokuniya!). And I need shorts (big airy shorts, not those tight hot shorts, because I don't want people to die of cardiac arrests upon seeing my horrible butt/legs combo), and other stuff. Probably not leggings, though.
No, not leggings. I shall not succumb to the crazy fashion faux pas called leggings! At least, it will be a fashion faux pas if I wear them.
Beat it-Michael Jackson
They Told Him Don't You Ever Come Around Here
Don't Wanna See Your Face, You Better Disappear
The Fire's In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear
So Beat It, Just Beat It
You Better Run, You Better Do What You Can
Don't Wanna See No Blood, Don't Be A Macho Man
You Wanna Be Tough, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, But You Wanna Be Bad
Just Beat It, Beat It, Beat It, Beat It
No One Wants To Be Defeated
Showin' How Funky Strong Is Your Fight
It Doesn't Matter Who's Wrong Or Right
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
Just Beat It, Beat It
They're Out To Get You, Better Leave While You Can
Don't Wanna Be A Boy, You Wanna Be A Man
You Wanna Stay Alive, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, Just Beat It
You Have To Show Them That You're Really Not Scared
You're Playin' With Your Life, This Ain't No Truth Or Dare
They'll Kick You, Then They Beat You,

And speaking of leggings, they were once crazy-hot in the MJ era, along with big hair and shoulder pads. RIP,
Doesn't it make you feel old when the stars you know pass away?
Though it's not like I'm a huge MJ fan, since I don't know more than 5 of his songs (and by that I mean barely), but he was still uber cool. I remember singing Heal the world in my Primary School choir, when I was in Primary 2 or something (since I got kicked out in primary 4 (?), I think due to the fact that I kept blowing off the Saturday practices to watch Pokemon instead). Weird how I only remember that song. Not that the choir had a large repertoire of songs, though.
Hmm yeah. I should go sleep, it's 3.16 now. Ungodly hour.

By the way I've succumbed to using this skin, since I scoured blogskins.com for hours, and found nothing. It is colourful, though. Sorry for letting this blog stagnate for the past few days; the cruise, coupled with a sudden realisation that there wasn't anything fun online, just drove any blogging interest away. But I'm back anyways. For the record I only came online to find out more about Minds Cafe, which, by the way, is called The Mind Cafe. The prices are exorbitant (I am exaggerating really, but for broke people like Choo, Yingyu and I--note: broke=jobless/never had a job--, it's really expensive), and it isn't Lady's Night!
So in case you haven't gotten my message (text, that is), we're meeting this Friday, Bugis MRT control station at 6. AM or PM, your call. Bring a camera! Well, this blog screams for it, doesn't it?
I want to go swimming. I went swimming on the cruise, and got a little sunburned (just 2 hours! Wtf, right?), but I'm now so totally hooked to it. So technically it's not "swimming", more like "legs wiggling in futile attempt to stay afloat and mobile", but who doesn't love that? I want to try those 2 metre deep places, since the deepest part of the pool on the cruise was 175cm. But then again if I drown then it'll be too bad for me. There will, however, be a space in FASS.
Alter-ego: "So, what have you been up to?"
Me: "Oh, thanks for asking! I went to Teoheng with Choo, Judy and Baojia last week! Then I went on a cruise and blew off Yunxuan and Xumei who were sending Chip off. And then on Monday I went for the medical check up at NUS with Judy and we saw Weirui! It's been a really long time since I last saw her. So anyway, it's weird to pee into a cup. Like, how? But enough about me, how you doin'?"
Alter-ego: "Dude, you do know I'm just a sad excuse for you to talk to someone, don't you?"
Me: "Yeah, I do. Darn."
Sorry, I'm just too bored. I need to shop. It's more like a stupid psychological need though. I want to trash my wardrobe.
I thought Incubus was some old fogey band. But apparently not.
Uh.
Bye!
Monday, June 15 01:13
Happy happy happy! Okay, not really. I think I need some sleep now.
I really want to shop! It's time to let your inner shopaholic shine through, dahlings. Even if you, like me, are broke. Because it's mindless, time consuming, and fun. Trying out clothes is always fun, even if you're a fat sack like me. :D
I'm bored now. Bye.
PS. I have chapped lips! Arghhh!

Maybe some retail therapy will cure it. I will try to whinge some money out of my parents, then. I am not that good at whining, but I think I've hung out with Chip long enough to pick up some tricks of the trade. For example, during the course of whining, your voice should have a fluctuating quality to it, and you have to emphasise on the important word to make your request clear to the audience.
Speaking of Chip, I was messaging her about the class (6C32) barbecue yesterday ("Hey, how was the bbq?"), out of pure curiosity. Actually, it's weird that I don't feel any loss about not going, even thought there was gossip and secret sharing (trying to make me jealous right, Chip?). It's weird how I don't like my class. In the past two years the times I spent together with my class was either forgettable, mind-numbingly dull, or tortuously hellish.
Yes, it is my problem actually. I get this feeling of nausea whenever the class gets together, which is terrible. Which is why I didn't want to go for the barbecue, because why force myself to endure that nauseating feeling? For some reason being with the class reminds me of Project Work, Pat, getting the only C in a Chemistry Lecture Test when everyone else got either As or Bs (5% C, 95% A-B), sticking out like a sore thumb in a class of smart people, blending into the background and feeling like a boring loser (because I didn't really know anyone in the class when at first), and being left out of stuff.
I remember once during Mass PE, me, Soke May, Yingyu and Biwen were walking around the track and having an agony aunt session, and I was telling them how miserable I was in the class. Also, everytime there was a 6C32 break (as in, the other classes weren't there), I would be so depressed that after gobbling down my lunch I would stalk off alone to the next lesson's venue, the library, or the sitting area between LT2 and 3. If it weren't for the breaks with other people, I would so totally descend into loner-dom again (like in Sec1? I cannot remember, actually), and clinical depression.
I think it's because of my antisocial personality (sometimes, at least), and how the class was largely comprised of I/J people whom I don't (didn't? Whatever) know. It's hard to describe that uncomfortable feeling I get in the class, really. It hovers in the air and gives people the feeling of something fractured and lost, like random pieces of jigsaws trying to force themselves to fit.
I guess I just got hit by a wave of nostalgia (of sorts, since this isn't really a fond memory). I really wanted to go for the barbecue, like some sort of a final closure thing (like, finally coming to terms with how I'd never like the class, and maybe say farewell (uh.) to the people who were leaving). Then I decided against it, partly because Judy wasn't going (aw), and partly because I didn't have Huanglin's number, which I take as a sign that I really didn't know the class well at all, so I should just give up acting like I actually care.
I hope you all found that excruciatingly boring, and didn't read in detail, if not you'd have found out what an uncaring, whiny and spiteful person I am. But then again, you probably know that already. :D
The realisation that I'm not a good person just hit me.
Okay, not just.
I'm actually amazed at how I've managed to make friends over the years, considering how I don't actually like talking to acquaintances/strangers. Maybe I let slip some wise-ass comment which made you think that I'm an interesting person (I've actually seen bread which are more interesting than I am. Well, no, but you get my point). Or maybe I'm just lucky.
I'm considering turning this post into some self-loathing post, but I'm really sick of those right now. I can list about 100 negative points about myself, but it's too time-consuming, and the only thing that would do is to drive off the remaining people who bother reading the boring stuff I blog about.
Anyway I think this skin is too black for my liking, shall change it asap. And there aren't really astonishing splashes of colour, it was just the title of a library book I was reading. And it's really good too, about this mentally unstable woman who has synthaesia. Wouldn't it be cool if you could taste the world around you? If this blog has a taste it would probably taste of something gross, because it would be a mixture of sour, bitter and spicy (I guess? The bitchings are somewhat spicy). Tastes bad, don't you think?
I think I just missed Bride and Prejudice. Oh well.
I've been on this page for hours. Time to go! ttfn.
Saturday, June 13 01:50
So anyway, the song was 11 minutes long (the original version), and the lyrics were crazy, like one of those crazy lit poems we have to analyse sometimes (and fail at analysing, I must add). No, I'm not going to post the lyrics here to bore you all to death. Goodness knows I already manage to bore you all half to death with my random ramblings here.
Uh.. I think maybe I should go to sleep, but then again sleep is overrated, no?
I'm overflowing with things to say, but somehow I cannot translate them into words. Maybe it has something to do with the time now being 2.04 in the morning. Time flies, doesn't it? Soon June'll be over. And no, I still haven't planned the May birthdays yet. I am so sorry, dahlings.
What say we just randomly pick a date and see who turns up?
That's a joke. Or not. :D Another day then, good bye!

Anyway, the shopping trip yesterday was more like a slacking outing. And I should have expected that, since it 3/5 of Slacker's Club was present. I think I better shop alone next time. However I did buy this notebook (one of my obsessions) and three marker-pen things (another obsession). From White Sands, which completely defeated the purpose of going to Bugis. However we did learn the Pastamania is a RIP-OFF. It ripped me off of my two dollars or so. And the Aglio Olio sucked, even though I have no means of comparing it with any other Aglio Olio, because I've never had Aglio Olio before.
BOYCOTT PASTAMANIA! DIE!
So anyway, I won't be in Singapore from 19th to 21st May, because I'm going on yet another cruise. Usually I'm not one to whinge, but seriously, a cruise? I think my parents just like the slots there. But there are slots in Vegas too! Why don't they go to Vegas? Nah, I think I'm just having a bout of PMS or a bout post-hall application blues.
Ah heck I have nothing to blog about anymore. Project runway and Tim Gunn's Guide to Style beckons. Ciao! And btw, the May Birthdays are hell difficult to plan! Zzz.
Tuesday, June 9 00:03
But on the bright side, shopping tomorrow! Or, rather, window shopping, according to Choo. Sorry, this is a Slacker's Club (girls-Cecilia) shopping trip. Actually, it's not officially that, but we decided on the trip when we were at the airport.
It's sad how we're all so bored nowadays. I was going to type "it's weird how we're all bored nowadays", but really, it's not that weird. Judy is bored, Choo is bored (unless she's watching one of her 3 Jap dramas), Yingyu is bored. And guess what, I'm bored too. Judy was saying how we could have an overlapping club, the Sian Club. That would be one big clique, I tell you.
Uh.
Hmm.
Yeah, you know when a girl uses pause-fillers it's a sure sign of her having nothing else good to say. Not like I had anything good to say in the first place. In fact I think I've not had anything good to say on this blog in a long, long while.
Anyway, I'll post the post-shopping spoils of war on here tomorrow, or the day after that, since I have to stoop to such levels to have anything to blog about at all. That is, if we manage to buy anything. My dream is to give Choo a makeover, Tim Gunn style.
Fat hope, I know.
Ciao.

Boo.
Sunday, June 7 22:21
After which we walked to White Sands and slacked at Mac's, and then proceeded to spend a really long time in Comics Connection commenting on Porno-mangas and posters of curly-haired dudes. Which really isn't happening actually, seeing how we are a bunch of 18-19 year-olds. But then again we are a bunch of Otaku/Zai-nv/stone-at-home types, so it makes sense that we do such uncool stuff. Geeks ftw!
Uh, never mind. Why did I receive a Korean Windows Live email (It's a bunch of Korean words, with the English words "Cute Monster!")? I'm not in Korea. Oh no, have the N.Koreans sent it to me because I'm a friend of Chip's? I am innocent, take her instead!
I need some non-jeans. As in, I usually only wear jeans or my white pants, which I am pretty sick of now. So it is comfy and loose, but it's also white, which means if I keep wearing it it'll turn grey soon. So right on top of my shopping list is berm-ish, shorts-like stuff. I don't like wearing shorts on the account of fat stumpy legs, but the NUS campus is just so freaking hot. Seriously. I think the world can afford to suffer my stumpy legs, otherwise I'd suffer from heatstroke.
I am so out of blogging topics. Maybe I should lock my blog up in a futile attempt to make it seem as though I have something interesting and juicy to blog about, ha ha. But you know me, I usually have nothing to blog about. :D
And speaking of blogging about stuff, I was so bored a few days ago that I perused (yeah, whatever) my blog archive, and I realised that I didn't really have much to blog about. Mostly the entries were about (i) exams, (ii) haircuts, (iii) bad teachers, and, lastly, (iv) Sokemay's (and various individuals') flings. Although those are probably infinitely more interesting than what I'm blogging about these days. Depressing, no?
Now what?
Ah well. Bye Earthlings.
Friday, June 5 20:29
For female candidates, please book a date for medical exam at least 5 days after
the end of your menses. This is because menstruation will affect the results of
the urine test.
I don't keep count, so I don't know when it'll come. Darn. Times like this I wish I were a guy. But of course if I were one I would be in the army now. Not fun. On the other hand, I could parade shirtless without being fined for indecent exposure, which would be awesome in this weather.
This random dude added me online. I hate it when that happens, so I blocked him, in the middle of the conversation (which technically isn't the middle, since the conversation didn't have an end, and middles cannot exist without ends, can they?), partly because only pricks add people they don't know at all, and also because his English was superbly bad.
And by superbly bad, I mean horribly, spine-chillingly bad. And speaking of that, I have a confession. I am incredibly prejudiced against people who speak/type atrociously. By that I mean people who go "I thinks it are cute." Or something equally horrible. I have Angloatrociousphobia. Whatever.
Now that I have been so far removed from school life (and University does not include that) that I no longer care about what the other ex-schoolmates are doing. A few months ago I would still be bothered to read random schoolmates' blogs, but now it's like, what's the point, right? Never mind, I'm just a heartless prick. :D
BORED! I am. SO BORED.
Anyways, I'm outta here. Bye peeps!
Thursday, June 4 21:30
My sister simply drives me nuts sometimes. She has this comb, which she brings to everywhere, which also means that she keeps misplacing it. And whenever she misplaces it she'll be all anal, and ask me to help her find it. Okay, for the first few times it's not a problem, but hell, she keeps losing the bloody comb. Someday I think I'll snap and scream, "Dammit, I couldn't care less about your hellish comb, leave me alone!" Of course, I'm too rational to fly off the handle.
But anyway, that was minutes ago, and she has since found her comb. So I'm chill. Chill.
Although I am intrigued by how different my sister and I are. I mean, she is obsessed about her hair. And by obsessed, I mean obsessed. And I am so not, I guess. I mean, life is too short to care about hair, why not just have fun with it and go for a cheap thrill, by paying five dollars for a student-cut hair? It's a surprise (not necessarily pleasant) every time. However, I do whinge and play on the drama of having a bad haircut for a while, all in the name of fun, and, uh, killing boredom.
Enough about that anyways. I'm watching (in the loosest sense) The Ultimatum--yes, you have to bold the title of that show, since it is The Ultimatum--, which isn't all that good. All the corporate bitch fights, the improbable plot (switched at births, planned kidnappings, gambling gods, and a scrupulous lawyer, seriously), and the formal family dinners during which every single family member dresses like it's prom, at home, are just overkills.
On a brighter note (to sound brighter while singing, raise your cheekbones, and eyebrows, uh, I think), the library has the DEAR thing again, which means eight books for no-lifers like me! Oh, and today I saw Huishan, Jobina and a friend of theirs on my way to the EXPO MRT station. The John Little sale isn't that great; I was there to look for cheap clothes. As you know, I'm broke (about the nth time you heard that).
Oh, before it slips my mind again, May Birthdays!
This is a pesky one, since all of the May dudettes are workaholics (well, I pretty much label anyone who works as a workaholic, don't mind me), so weekdays are pretty much out of the question. Especially Linette, who has to meet the Money deadlines and stuff. And weekends are usually whatchacallit, uh, Family Days, which means it's also difficult. Damn.
Will anyone give me any good suggestions to solve this conundrum (whatever)? Maybe you can find some rip in the space-time fabric which we can make us of to escape the flow of time. You see, I do know my Physics. What a pity I didn't apply for Science, right?
Speaking of conundrums, I remember how me and my sister used to do the Kenny Conundrum (is it called that? I have no idea) in Neopets but not once did we win anything. Bleh, guess we're not as smart as we think we are.
I want to go out, I WANT TO GO OUT! And, and, the next time we go out, I demand that we take pictures as keepsakes, because I can then post them here to fill up those empty spaces. And pictures always make it less boring, don't they?
I haven't sold my Broader Perspectives yet. You know, BP? The magazines? Remember those days? They do make an interesting read when you are utterly bored, but I need the money so badly--(n+1)th time, yeah yeah.
Things I need:
1. Money
2. Retail Therapy (which is actually ill-disguised, mindless consumerism)
3. Clothes, especially shorts/non-ugly berms, since NUS is h-o-t. And by that I refer to the weather. I wore jeans to pass up the Form P, and I almost died in the hot sun. Died, I tell you!
4. One thing or another
Things I have:
1. A lack of money
2. Iron pills
3. Jeans and ugly berms
4. Too much time at home
Uh, I think the people are sacrificing buffaloes to send them off together to their deceased masters. Okto, I mean, lest you think I have weird neighbours or something.
Because I don't have weird neighbours; I have irritating neighbours. They love to have screaming fits (in thick Beijing accents, no less), making it seem as though they're about to hack at each other with parangs. And when we make some noise (and by that I mean occasions when I invite people over for GH), they'll slam their front door because of the off-key singing and laughing fits we get into when performing Antisocial. Never noticed that, did you? And not only are they capable of having screaming duets, they are actually pretty decent solo acts too. The lady (for want of a better word) has the astonishing ability to scream into her mobile so loudly that I'm surprised the person on the line didn't hang up on her and her hissy fit.
I'm attempting to regain my composure. I mean, figuratively speaking, since I am now still chill, on the surface. It doesn't do good to throw a blog hissy fit about my neighbours, since we should all live in harmony. NE, man.
Maybe one day I should call the police on grounds of suspected murder being committed next door, on account of all the indiscriminate screaming. Snort.
I guess the hot weather is bringing out the worst in me. :D
June June June! Only two more months or so. And I'm appying for the ignite thing which Choo introduced, since I have nothing to do. At all.
I was thinking, and I came up with this plot about a girl, who, inexplicably, had a mysterious wart-like growth on her face, which communicates with her, and eventually transports her to an alternate dimension where she was a Prince.
No, not very coherent. And a little too puerile. Oh, and there may be themes of homosexuality, which is a no-no. But you see how I so can be an absurd theatre person?
Anyways, I shall see y'all later. Bye dudettes.
Wednesday, June 3 23:13
That emphatic exclamation expresses (alliteration!) my happiness, which is derived from being able to donate blood. I have arrived! After weeks of eating raisins and trying to overcome my gag reflex whenever I eat Chye-sim and other would-be-bitter vegetables, and eating the super-iron pill in the morning (the one they gave before wanse, which sucks), my iron count is finally, finally 12.8! Although Yingyu's was 13, which is so unfair!
But Xumei is still 10.8. Good luck next time! Really! We must destroy the low-iron curse.
Anyway I'm now really in NUS, since I've handed in Form P. Xumei and I were sitting like idiots in the student whatever centre waiting for our number to be called, while watching 80s Rewind and Phua Chu Kang reruns on the flat screen. Then when our number was called we went to the counter, only to have the woman tell us we could have just put the form into the box they provided. I bet she thought we were imbeciles--"How did those doodoo-heads get into NUS?".
So. La Vie en rose. It gave me a throbbing headache. Maybe it was all the french, or her low timbre. Or maybe it was the lack of blood, after the donation. And I just wiki-ed the film again, and apparently there are about 4 Louises in the movie; no wonder it was confusing. ("Who's that?!") And I don't even know any french.
Halls, residences or what?
I am out of words! Ciao. :D
