A Heart So White

Hi, I'm back!

So, Osaka. Actually I was only in Osaka for one day, the rest were spent in Kobe and Wakayama (?), which is basically some mountain you never heard of, haha. So, it was cold. I like the cold. :D Oh, and I tried Kobe beef. Maybe it's my barbecue skills, but I think it's not worth the 70 bucks. Crazy. 70 bucks for a few slices of beef.

One thing I hated about the trip was the tour group. I hate travelling in tour groups. Especially after meeting this particular group of OBNOXIOUS SPOILT BRATS, and no, I don't mean a bunch of broken dolls, ala SPOILT BRATZ (C), but rather these couple of shallow teens. Teens being people our age. There was this guy who couldn't stop whining and speaking at the top of his voice. Like, "COACH! (the brand) ADIDAS! NIKE! GGAAAPPP!" at the sight of a factory outlet building. Also, "I LIKE DOLCE AND GABBANA, THEIR DESIGNS ARE DAMN NICE." Okay, I'm sure you love it's design lots, but I don't care about your fashion preferences.

Have you ever seen a guy who loves shopping more than a 40 year old tai-tai? I know I don't know a lot of guys, but this guy is a deviation from the Ideal Guys Behaviour. Sorry, I was trying to do the Chem homework.

But enough of the trip.

After coming back, I encountered a series of rude shocks.

1. I haven't done ANY homework.

2. Orientation Camp.
This is the worst. THE worst. "The camp aims to allow students to provide a platform for students to interact with their new juniors, faculty mates and teachers." Well, firstly, how do you allow students to provide students with a platform? It doesn't make much sense. We would also need to pay for the camp. Okay, that is reasonable, since we would need food and all that. Oh, but no, the extortion does not stop there. We have to bring a total of $15 during the camp itself. WTF? What, are we playing "pin the money on the SCs"? Sorry, couldn't resist making a snide remark here.

Anyway, continuing with my pointless ranting.. I shall now pick on the ideas presented in the powerpoint slides. Yes, I do have them, because I didn't go for the meeting. How lucky of me. Here's one of their reasons for changing the "class naming system": "To allow graduates of DHP to have an additional sense of belonging to the school". Ahh, yes, I can see myself, ten years down the road, reminiscing about how I loved my class, because it had a name change. Even now, I feel that my sense of belonging to DHP has tripled, just because the name of my class has changed. Not.

I mean, I feel like I belong, because I have been in the school for such a long period of time, and because I have made good friends in DHP. I don't mind changing the name of classes, since it's not a big deal. I just don't see how changing the name of my class will help me feel like I belong in DHP more. The reason is obviously bullsh*t. Crude, but true.

I absolutely abhor my class, and I will not like it even if it's name were different, because in essence, isn't it still the same class?

Right. Then there is the thing about the "House System". Great. There will be a "House Dance". I don't dance (haha). Like, I really cannot dance. Why not a house poem, or a house wrestling move, or a house tattoo? Fine, those are crap, but really. DANCE? Again?

I noticed in the packing list (yes, I was sent this too), "A set of casual attire for Jam Night". Ooh. This sounds fun. Maybe we will be pigging out on jam the entire night. I am quite partial to raspberry, but not apricot, though.

Oh what the heck, who am I kidding?

Greek gods. Hmm. Hades? Pan (the goat-man who gave up his godly status. Sad.)? Aphrodite (for the hot girls)? Zeus (lecherous old god..)? Whatever lar.

* * *
There's this guy from my primary school, he got gold for air rifle in the SEA games. Pro can. Seventeen only.

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever amount to anything.

Oh well.
* * *
You know one thing I hate about the SCs? It is how pompous they are. Asses.

Darn. You know the thing about blogging is that once you start you cannot stop. Fine, maybe it's just a weird habit of mine.

My keyboard is super insensitive nowadays. Either that or my fingers have gone weird and powerless. Or maybe it's blogger's fault.

Nah. It's my sis, I think her constant Maple-playing has caused the keyboard to become permanantly stuck.

I have about half-an-hour more before leaving, so I'm here. Rambling. Oh well.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

I always do that. If I didn't remember wrongly. I still have tons of homework left (tons? I haven started on any, no wonder. -___-), but I plan to finish them before the aforementioned period of happiness. I hope. I wish. And with a stroke of luck, our favourite teacher of all times may NEVER be able to salvage her laptop, or she may suddenly be afflicted with a mild case of amnesia, forcing her to forget anything related to torturing her poor students, and then we can stike that particularly nasty piece essay/paper of our long list of homework.

Wishful thinking, I know. But one can dream, right?

Oh, I hate banging on the keyboard. It's so destructive. Only choice.

Whatever, I gotta go anyway. Bye.

Hello.
I hate my hair. When it's not tied up, it looks like a patch of wild grass and curls at all the wrong places. I swear, I have such an affinity with Ken Chuuu.

You see, that's me with my ugly hair, untied. (If I were a guy, Choo weilin would love my long hair.)

And that's Ken Chuuu, in his liu2 xing1 hua1 yuan2 days.

See the similarity!? Gosh. I'm cursed. But before Ken Chuuu's fans (right.) bash me up, I shall focus on another topic.

Working Class People aka Office People

Today, while going to the Zoo, the MRT was damn crowded, because it was the morning peak hour. (Sokemay felt so claustrophobic that she was panting) So anyway, I don't want to grow up to be like them! Working for a company (which probably pollutes the environment, but that's another story) and making money for the big boss while your psycho boss tries to drive you like a mule.

I mean, have you actually seen the working class going to work? They are practically frowning on the buses and MRTs okay. You can feel the evil "Oh-how-I-would-like-to-murder-my-boss" vibes exuding from their bodies. Grim.

Next time, I don't want to end up like that. So.. sad. I mean, yes, they probably had ideals and aspirations when they were younger, but they have to feed their families, pay for their car, or buy that Gucci tote (whatever), and would settle for a well-paying, boring office job.

They simply blend into the surrounding, almost as if you take one of them off the face of the earth, no one would notice. Especially not their bitchy, back-stabbing colleagues. Okay, maybe their best friends/friends would notice, but then again..

It's just so boring. I would commit suicide before I take up an office job. At least that's what I think now. If I ever consider working in an office, will someone please slap me awake? (or refer me to this entry)

Okay, okay. That is a tad depressing.

Oh, we had a SLACKER'S CLUB+Yuhan OUTING today!!! Whee. Ajisen was selling their Ramen at half-price to members (every third Monday of the Month), so we went! Damn shuang, $5 for Ramen! Then we did the mandatory gossiping (haha), you2 dang4 abit, and went home. I am officially broke this holiday. : Never mind, I shall start saving now (yeah, fat chance).

Okay, seeya, wouldn't be blogging in a week or so.

I am bored. Again. Gah.

19:43

I'm bored.

Isn't this nice?

Got Jiamin leh! Although I don't know what pose Yunxuan and Xumei were planning to do. Hmm. Okay, seeya.

Friday, November 16 21:52

My keyboard is so dirty I think mould is growing on it.

I am still 16. Good.

Is it just me, or are we getting less happy?

I need to start on my homework.

I want to go out. Am I crazy?

21:29

I have spotted a trend. Everytime I surf the web I will end up really bored. Drat.

The blogs I read aren't really very good. I just try to kill time by reading mundane/emo posts. The interesting bloggers never blog.

I hate typing addresses wrongly. Like when you type "blogspot" as "blgspot" or "blogspt", these irritating page will come out, with all those strip poker pop-ups. I am sick of the internet.

Wouldn't it be nice to be born before the industrial revolution? It would be nice to be a viking. Or an Egyptian embalmer. Or a Roman gladiator. Then nothing would be so trivialised. And we wouldn't have to worry about the earth dying or homework.

I don't like technology.

Which is ironic, since I am blogging and all that. Gah.

Oh, but technology does have it's finer moments, such as teacher-com crashes. Which absolutely rock.

I want to be a caveman.

19:54

I am a lazy bum.
*
I counted the Mr and Miss Teen hours wrongly. So in the end I only had 54 hours. Which is still a lot lar, haha.
So, we went to celebrate Yingyu and Youbao's birthday yesterday, at a place we never went before! Which means not Marina Square or Suntec. We are very hip lor.

It was very fun, and very late. It was the last train. LAST TRAIN LEH. I have never reached home that late before. Seriously. When I was on 359 there were only a handful of people, one teenage girl with pink/white/silver (something) hair, and another teenage guy. Anyone seeing this bus would be thinking, "delinquents". Never mind, it's nice to not wear a school uniform and be associated with delinquents once in a while.

But I digress.

The point is, OUR CAKE ROCKED! It is really very good. Really. :D

So, this is the chio cake we baked. Okay, so it isn't very chio, but it is filled with our love and sweat (sweaty palms, haha, eww). We made it on Tuesday. Linette, Krystal, Me and Jiayin met at Pasir Ris MRT then went to do grocery shopping at White Sands. The we went to Linette's house to make the cake. Yunxuan arrived later, after losing her way mildly.
Basically we crushed, mixed, crushed, pounded and crushed a hell lot of cookies (oreo). Hard work okay. We mopped the kitchen floor after that (okay, so we kinda just slopped and sloshed water around. Then we sat down to discuss the "who not to wear what list".
It was quite a success leh! Even though in the end we did not do the forfeit, almost everyone wore something different.
I must say, Sokemay's fashion sense is really avant garde (right.), she should be the winner. I mean, has anyone ever seen such a tasteful accessory like Sokemay's gim lian? She shocked us hands down lar (whatever this means).
I don't have pics (except those kupped from Youbao's blog), so smeone, PLEASE SEND ME!
*
And now I shall continue my aimless web surfing.

After the Clean & Green thing, I am once again languishing in pure boredom. Thank god for the Zoo.

Wednesday, November 7 20:15

Mr and Miss Teen is finally over!

So it was me, Choo weilin, Pung Sokemay (or Sook May, or Soot May, or the newest, Su wei), Judy, Charmaine, Koh Yunxuan and Biwen. Haha, we are the saigang gang. :D

Oh, it was quite fun, but I wouldn't want to go through it again. But the hours rock okay.

And we got two of the same NEA shirts.

Stuff which happened:

1. Vanilla! I'm kind of immune, so I didn't mind much. Oh, but there is so much dislike.

2. Freebies! Not me, but you should see what Sokemay, Judy and Yunxuan lugged home.

3. Mr and Miss Teen. Okay, so maybe the voting thing screwed up. I don't know. But anyway, we didn't win this year.

4. Environmental Fashion Show. Soke May and I were the Shepherd dogs, shepherding those reluctant sheep around. I tell you, it wasn't fun okay. Especially when some are quite AP. I think Sokemay made some mortal enemies there.

5. Soke May experienced a flirt! Okay, haha, not I say one. She got high just because someone flirted with her okay. WL.

6. General Saigang-- the trophy people. Their job is a different kind of saigang from being errand girls like me or Sokemay, and also different from being shepherd dogs. But saigang nonetheless.

7. Interesting songs. You should see the preschool kids and their rubbish song. No, I'm not insulting the song or anything. The song is about rubbish and all that. Goes something like "Rubbish belongs to the rubbish bin.." And some other weird Ah Tuan song. Oh well.

8. Dry Mcdonald burgers. Yes, we generally had catered lunch. I know, it's food, and I'm a whiner, but the McChicken was bone-dry without mayo or lettuce. It isn't even green, which is wrong, as this is the Clean and Green Week.

9. Singing. Yeah, sometimes we got high singing.

10. Pizza Hut! To celebrate the end of this fiasco (somewhat), we ate Pizza and Beefballs! And we only had to pay $5 per person. Pizza Hut leh. Because we had this cool voucher/coupon thing which had great discounts. ^-^ Okay, I sound like some cheapo. But we had 2 Hawaiian Pizzas you know! Haha, never mind. I'm broke, you see.

And, on hindsight (which is 20/20), these three days had been quite fun. I don't know about you, but I think running around, complaining and whining about general saigang-ness, imagining up stupid untruths and mucking about (nah) was quite fun.

Yay.

Okay, see you people soon. :D

Oh, oh, in my search for something to kill boredom, I came across something interesting!!

Remember the Blue's Clues guy whom everyone thought died? He did not die, instead, he turned from this:

To this:

Supposedly he is now an alternative indie punk(?) rock singer. He has his own site, and it's funny in a weird way. You wouldn't think Steve Burns (that's him) was that sort of person. I mean, you will just assume he's this kiddish, clueless dog-lover.

Anyway, he was certainly not an indie rock singer with a 5-0'clock shadow (or 8, does it matter?). It's like Nickelodeon gone wrong.

Never mind, I am still recovering from certain shock.

Oh, apparently he quit in 2002, and the show had him going off to college (collge?! He couldn't fit clues together and was hard of hearing!), his brother replacing him as Blue's owner. Not his real brother, of course.

Despite all this, I think Steve was the best, er, Blue's owner. I like Blue's Clues okay. I mean, it's much nicer and more meaningful than most mediacorp dramas. You should watch the "Dear, dear son-in-law"(wow, nice title), it's rendition of JC students is really laughable. No, seriously, you should the the noob of a "shuai4 xue2 zhang3"(er, hot senior) they have.

Enough about my TV preferences. It has been decided (I think), that the organisers of the Youbao/Yingyu birthday bash are...

*drumroll*

KRYSTAL AND SOKEMAY! (and the various helpers they may need)

Okay. Don't screw up! Haha, kidding. Even if you screw up, an impromptu one will still be fun. :D

In a bid to ease my boredom, I have been surfing the net for the whole day. Darn. No-lifers Choo and I have been lamenting how bored we were. And we found some relief on Youtube. Not much, though.

Okay, this guy is really sad.
