According to Krystal, her group is Labdacus, although maybe it's wrong, because she forgot. But anyway,
When Labdacus had grown, he ruled Thebes for a short time. He died while he was
still young, after he lost a war with the king of Athens, Pandion, over their
borders. Apollodorus writes that he, like his nephew Pentheus, was ripped apart
by women in a bacchic frenzy for disrespect to the god Dionysus. Lycus became
regent once more after his death, this time for Labdacus' son, Laius.-Wikipedia
Then, Youbao's group is Prometheus.
Okay, he sounds decent and all that, but no, he is horribly punished:In Greek Mythology, Prometheus is a Titan known for his wily intelligence,
who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals for their use.-Wikipedia
Prometheus, meanwhile, is chained to a rock where his regenerating liver is
eaten daily by an eagle.-Wikipedia
Eww. Fine. At least I'm in a decent group, Athena, a cool goddess of wisdom and war.

1. We moved to a gloomy, old, sad compound. Okay, it wasn't that bad. But Tanjong Rhu was better. For one, we did not have to take an hour and a half to get home from school everyday.
2. The establishment of Senior High Student Council. :( THE HORROR.
3. 5A. The most boring thing since homework. No offence to the individuals, who are all okay in their own rights, but together, we can bore the socks off Sokemay, who wears long socks, no kidding.
4. PW. The worst sort of groupwork there is, because we are planning hypothetically. Pathetic.
5. The new uniforms. Ewwwwwwww.
6. The Nanjing buddies. It was a nightmarish period, and even now, I still get shudders thinking about it.
7. Slackers Club. The name says it all, yeah?
8. The birthday celebrations. The best has got to be Youbao and Yingyu's. No competition.
9. Yunnan trip. The best trip this year, because everyone was quite high there.
10. Sokemay and her flings. Sorry for laughing at your expense lar. But thanks for providing the laughter.
11. Gossip sessions: anywhere, anytime, anyone (of course, must be shou2 one).
12. Angsty moments of our lives: Yunxuan and her YOBs, Chip and her famously scary COBs (never see before), Choo weilin and the time she stomped of without her art file, how I was pissed with my Nanjing buddy and her little magician boyfriend, and also during the LOG situation.
13. I also came to the realisation that Dunman High is Science-orientated. Rocket scientists will save the world, art people can only paint or wax lyrical about the scientists heroic deeds.
14. Mr and Miss Teen, which took up a great deal of time. Sokemay and I stayed back for all the sessions, and were bored stiff.
15. New, sucky teachers. I guess some are okay, but the bad ones. Brr. But you know how vindictive we students are.
16. Stress levels were at an all time high. Especially around the Promos. And then there was the post-promos burn-out. Scary.
17. Bintan camp. I guess that is worth a mention here, since it was the first time (and last, sadly) I felt 5A was quite fun. And the flings which took place there (like Danny, and Sokemay's parang guy).
18. Flunking my subjects. Okay, technically, I didn't flunk, flunk being fail. But you know, it's sad to do so badly in Maths. But at least Lit was okay. GP stinks, though.
19. Understanding (kinda) Organic Chemistry. Seriously, I didn't even know what an isomer was in 2006.
20. Raking my brains trying to make a "highlights of 2007" list. Oh no, I am out of highlights.
Yeah, so that's it, 20. I know, pathetic, Chip managed 50, and Youbao managed 33 (or something). Oh well. To make up, here's a Thank You list for 2007:
This year, I would like to thank:
1. The morning table people, alias we who always hang out together:
Xumei, my h1 econs buddy,
Yunxuan, who is crazy, and sometimes emo,
Yingyu, who is always hot (hot and hot-tempered),
Youbao, who goes for every birthday bash, and is always there,
Leanne, the boy-crazy girl,
Krystal, my primary school classmate!,
Jiayin, the one whose order always ends up wrong,
Linette, I like reading her blog, LOL,
Wenqian, whose evil twin is Leanne,
Biwen, a fellow H1 economics taker! (next year),
Jiamin, fellow school unenthusiast, haha,
and, Sokemay, joke-generator who is funny 24-7 (okay, maybe not).
2. Slacker's Club:
Choo weilin, an ap loud Chem queen who loves the zoo,
Chip, the stick who is hated by the canteen aunties,
and Cecilia, gossip queen (besides Yunxuan).
3. Miscellaneous:
Q-bing, another primary school mate, who always gets niao-ed by Choo and Cecilia,
and Judy, because without her, life in 5A would seriously suck. Now it merely sucks.
4. My family, because it's only natural to do that, and lastly
5. You blog readers! Because you stuck through all the boring times, haha.
Thus,
THANK YOU!
Sorry for this overloading of colours. But since this is the last day of the year, to heck with it.
So, see you next year then, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I want to go out before school reopens. But I guess that is quite impossible, considering the amount of homework left undone in my case. Econs is the worst, I tell you. And isn't H! supposed to be half of H2? Why are we getting 2 case studies and essays each? We should only get 1 case study and 2 essays since the H2 people are getting 3 of each. I don't want to change Econs teacher.
I guess Elitists rule the world today.

I haven't finished my homework. At all. Here's what I haven't done:
-Maths Applications of Integration
-Maths Differential Equations tutorial
-Chem NJ promo paper (half of it)
-Chem Halogeno-thing tutorial
-Chem Sn1&Sn2, sulphate shit
-Econs essay (x2)
-Econs case study (x2)
Oh no.

I dread camp. I would rather eat a bucket of crickets, or worse, do 200 more maths questions. And that, as everyone knows, is a huge enough torture.
Words cannot convey the deep hatred I feel towards the SCs. Why must they act high? Not only do they act high, they must force us to act high. I mean, we were never the rah-rah shit type. Not that all rah-rah people are shit. But you know, if we are not rah-rah, we are forced to be rah-rah by the SCs, and thus, we are rah-rah shit.
Whatever.

But, in the meantime, CHRISTMAS IS COMING! Yay.
And, although Christmas is all consumer hype, isn't consumer hype fun?
Wednesday, December 19 21:34
I am currently bored out of my mind.
Man. I have nothing to blog about. At all. Except this: Vivocity's playground is fun. Unless it is wet and you are wearing old man slippers.
Ciao.

You know, I always thought the library was a hallowed ground for books, but I guess I was wrong, because they had FHM, which said "not suitable for kids", and there was this hot girl in the midst of taking off her bikini on the cover.
Oh, go read Choo's blog for highlights of 2007. I'm sure she missed a few, though. I shall highlight the flings, flirts and imagined pairings of this year!!!
Sokemay:
1. Her Bintan fling (The one who helped her trek)
2. In, Yunnan, cun1 zhang3!!
3. The Clean and Green mascot, who flirted with her.
4. Her dream flings, Vanness and some angmoh guy from Amazing Race.
5. Sokemay's sudden popularity with my friend's friends and Eugene.
6. Mr Poooooon.
7. Oh my god, there's too many.
Judy:
1. Her Bintan boyfriend, Danny. Haha.
Yunxuan:
1. Aiyar, you know who lar, I scared she OB at me.
Choo Weilin:
1. DEREK, fully imagined character.
2. Eugene, okay, not true.
3. The zoo. Choo is in love with the zoo.
Qbing:
1. Lao Da
2. Clay- ah, you know who.
3. And, most recently, someone who has no link with Qbing at all lar, aka the King.
Xumei:
1. The guy who wolf-whistled (is it?) in Yunnan.
Okay, all this reminiscing hurts my brain. It's like squeezing juice out from a reluctant preserved orange peel, because I can only remember Sokemay's flings. Sorry, but they are always so memorable, meaningful and funny. Okay, never meaningful, but always funny.
I can't wait for next year to be over.
Friday, December 7 18:15
Right now I am slacking at home, force-feeding myself with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel cartoons. My brain feels numb. But, watching cartoons is supposed to make me happier than completing 5 questions! Well, at least it kills my brain, so I wouldn't be able to feel any homework-related happiness.

And, with me being such a party animal, I'm sure all of you can't wait to hear what I did on my big day. Drum roll please.
I DID AP/GP AND INEQUALITIES! WHOOP. Oh, and I watched some TV.
Exhilarating stuff, those.
Thank you to those who wished me a Happy Birthday (although it did not happen, but that's another story), especially Yunxuan and Youbao, who wished me in the dead of the night (11.59pm (yb) and 1.03am(?! yx)). I was asleep, oops. But I woke up at 2am and said thanks okay.

Oh, I think the green flames were caused by a "strikeback fire", which happens in a Bunsen burner. Or was it strikeout? Whatever. My sister deduced this from the characteristic green flame, but since have forgotten all my lower secondary science knowledge (no, actually I pretty much forgot all my science knowledge), I don't know whether that is true.
Anyway, strikeback fire sounds funny.
Fire: "Hasta la vista, I will be back."
Stay tuned for Bunsen Burner 2: The Fire strikes Back
Okay, never mind that.

I'm very bored again. I need to go out, because I have NOTHING to do at home. Nothing!!

Wednesday, December 5 17:01
I'm so bored I'm doing brainless stuff like surfing the net and browsing Friendster to kill my boredom. And it's not like I don't have homework or anything, but homework? The inner eye is not concerned about mundane stuff as such. Er. Okay, never mind.
I need something interesting to happen! Like, say, someone blew the school up and caused much wreckage or something. Although no one would be hurt, the school would be in such a bad condition that there is no way we can afford to hold the camp there, and then they would have to cancel the camp and because of the extensive damage done, the school would have no money left over to hold utterly ridiculous activities for us. We cheer.
Argh. I'm going nuts. I would rather go to school than be cooped at home with tons of homework to do. Oh man.
Oh, yesterday, before watching Enchanted, I was with Sokemay and Yunxuan, supposedly doing our homework. Well, we failed miserably, because we only managed to do half a binomial question (me, at least). The rest of the time was spent talking. Man. But we managed to agree on the stand that in the Gatsby advertisement, mu4 cun1 looked very gay.
Blah blah blah blah. I am officially bored to death. Zzz.
Er, wait, I just discovered something new and exciting. Asknlearn has a new format. Woo. It is really lame. When you click on a link with nothing there, they will say "Nothing to see here kids, move along...". What are we, five year olds? Okay, never mind, I'm cranky from being cooped up the whole day.
Why is the fire on the stove GREEN?
13:08
I'll be 17 tomorrow. So the next entry I post will be done when I am 17. I don't want to be 17. 16 was nice. You can pass off as a teen. But 17? It's not anything exciting. Sixteen is, well, sweet sixteen, the best year of your teenage life. 18 is the year you are supposedly mature, and 21 is when you get the alleged freedom. What about 17? It's such a loser age.
But never mind about that.
I watched Enchanted yesterday! Go watch! It's one of those feel good comedies (romantic comedy? I dunno.) that you must watch during holidays. And it's funny in a good, clean Disney way. I like Disney movies, especially those old-school 2-D ones.
I am pleased to announce that the GP thing is an utter failure. At least for my group. We haven't started the discussion for week 3, with Eileen in Shanghai and me being too lazy to take out the holiday package they gave us. I don't have a clue about the week's topic, and no one in my group bothered posting or even handing in those bloody journals.
Here's my inspiring post:
Hello. So, this is the last discussion,
"Both writers observe various trends with regard to seeking membership in a community. Based on your knowledge and experience, which passage do you find more relevant to your society? Do you think that such trends will be largely beneficial or detrimental to your society if they were to continue in the future? "
Okay, this is an Application Question, which is a nasty part of Paper 2 (the other parts are nasty too, but this is especially nasty). Anyway, you must read the passage and the question carefully. Firstly, you must understand the question. This question actually requires 2 things of you.
1) Choose the passage which is more relevant to your society
2) Comment on the effects of the trends to your society if they were to continue.
Remember, Application Questions require you to really answer to the question and not ramble on about points the writer makes. You must introduce examples of your own, most preferrably ones that can fully substantiate your points. You can also argue against a point made by the other writer if it helps in your stand.
Also, note that this is NOT summary writing, you MUST insert in your own examples. See those words "Based on your knowledge and experience"? Well, "your experience" doesn't mean YOUR life, but those current events which have an impact on your society or something to that effect.
But before I scare you too much, why don't you all try this question?
Oh, by the way, JOURNALS PLEASE!
I got some inspiration from Youbao's post. Sorry lar, I didn't even bother reading the passages.
Oh, screw GP and the related people who brought this terror to our lives.
Monday, December 3 15:33
I am very bored at home.
Oh, I was at Century Square yesterday when I saw the Clean & Green Week model from Tampines Secondary School. In the toilet. She said hi (something like that), then I said hi, then she told me she was working there.
Speaking of Century Square's toilets, I tell you, they are seriously amazing. There are these sofas, and rows of mirrors-- above sinks, and mirrors set for make-up, like, you can sit on these hot pink chairs and do your make-up. It's not a toilet, it's a lounge with peeing facilities.
Okay. I have managed to bore myself with all these talk about cool johns. Water closets. Whatever. Bye.
