I went to the DHS forums again. Sorry, but I'm really bored to tears.
From some random Year4 guy:
"Once upon a time, the animals decided they must do something heroic to meet the problems of 'a new world'. So they organized a school.
They adopted an activity curriculum consisting of running, climbing, swimming and flying. To make it easier to administer the curriculum, all the animals took all the subjects.
The duck was excellent in swimming, in fact better than his instructor, but he only made passing grades in flying and was very poor in running. Since he was slow in running, he was forced to stay after school and also drop his passion, swimming, in order to practice running. This was kept up until his webbed feet were badly worn and he was only average in swimming. But average was acceptable in school, so nobody worried about that except the duck.
The rabbit started at the top of the class in running, but had a nervous breakdown because of so much make-up work in swimming.
The squirrel was excellent in climbing until he developed frustration in flying class where his teacher made him start from the ground up instead of from the treetop down. He fractured his foot as a result of overexertion and got a C in climbing and D in running.
The piglet resorted to self-mutilation and eventually died of wounds inflicted to self because he could not find anything that he was good at, and nobody bothered to discover a talent in him."
Basically it was about how the Singaporean education wants people to score well in just about every subject, and in the end those who cannot manage to balance everything out stand to lose just about everything.
That analogy is seriously creeping me out, because it is quite apt.

T.T I like this face.

I read the piano ones, then one started by this secondary two boy who thought doing reflections was derogatory and an injustice, and also this forum on what the different levels thought of each other.
Well, I know that the juniors are immature, childish, and hate authority indiscriminately (which is to say they don't even care if they were in the wrong), but seriously, weren't we like that too? Like, we would use to hate the teachers who scolded us and stuff, and we feared, as in SERIOUSLY feared Mr. Kiw and his gang of disciplinary warriors (er). And now, I think what accounts for the lack of respect and discipline the juniors have (over-generalisation, I know, but too bad, first impressions matter a lot) is the lack of teachers such as Mr. Kiw reminding the students what it means to show respect, both to the school--by respecting seniors and teachers--and themselves--by dressing and behaving appropriately.
The teachers we have today not only have much less wisdom and silent authority, some of them do not even bother to correct improper behaviour when they see them. I doubt one quarter of the school teachers even care to remind students to tuck in their shirts. I mean, look at the unkempt people around! Some teachers, like a few of the teachers in charge of a certain evil organisation (ahemSCahem) don't even care if the cronies in the organisation have their shirts tucked in, they don't even care about their discipline. So much for the SCs being the pinnacle of what a Dunmanian should be like.
The point is, Mr. Kiw was so effective because he was patient, reasonable, and he stood for his beliefs. He also managed to instil into us the moral values which make up a Dunmanian during our formative (relatively) years, when we were still growing up and trying to learn about who we are. Today, the obvious lack of such influential disciplinary figures creates a void, and it is difficult for the juniors to absorb much of the important values the school emphasise on. They are only left with half-formed, half-heartedly taught values which are even further negated by the fact that the SC--would-be-prefects--is led by incompetent carnalists (okay, gross) such as, well, you know who I'm talking about, who wouldn't give a dime for discipline if the girl was cute enough.
*
Well, today we learnt two things--Reason owns mindless rebellions (Mr. Kiw pwns rebellious kids (like us, years ago)), and CN Yang scholarship holders are elitist and cocky. (Again, over-generalisation, but too bad for their imprudent move of sending the farce of a scholar to our school)

So, are you popular?

Never mind that random excerpt. I have fallen in love with Broader Perspectives, because it is quite interesting to read. :D
Okay, bye.

You know, sometimes I think we are getting too old. Because all we ever do during the long MRT trips home is talk about the past. Reminiscing. I think we all bear grudges, because we still harbour hatred for Feng old shit, who left us about 2 years ago.
There is practically nothing to blog about nowadays.
Oh, by the way, the student lounge is open. But seeing how we are about as welcome as a couple of green coloured pimples, the student lounge might as well be North Korea. Okay, bad analogy, but you know what I mean.
I want to watch the new Jack Black movie! Be Kind Rewind or something.
I am in CSC, Counter-SC.

Someone told us Mr Cave's religion was the one which worshipped Bumba. I tell you, he was joking! I mean, this religion is based on some African myth, and even though Mr Cave is "artistic" and eccentric and whatnot, I seriously doubt he will believe in some religion which worships a god with such a weak stomach, and a sickly disposition. Well, unless he were some hippie. Who can give up eating chocolates for a nauseous god anyway?

I miss the old days. I want today to last forever. I cannot wait for the future.
I just hope that when we graduate, we don't turn into shrivelled, lifeless adults but still keep in contact and niao Sokemay about her various flings, and do crazy things. Because it is easy to forget all these when you get overrun by life and its idiosyncrasies.
I won't forget the hen party plan for Soke May's wedding, haha. But remember, round tables are too troublesome, if you get married to some maths teacher, so you should get your guests to seat in a row. And Mr. Poon was asking us why we were so excited over the word "wedding", saying that it would be "three to four years" down the road, at least. Soke May, you get the hint, you have four years to get you face flawless! Use OXY 10.
Ciao, people, Nitrogen Compound Tutorial is wailing at me, and I plan to shut it up (either by forcefully shoving it down my throat in a desperate attempt or by actually doing the tutorial).

Would you rather be a simple-minded happy person or a struggling genius searching for the Truth?
I want to live in the cave watching shadow puppets and having my basic needs satisfied. They say the truth will set you free. Okay, free from what? Ignorance?
But ignorance also sets you free. Free from the troubles of knowledge and having to think. Because you can hardly miss what you don't know you don't have, can you?
Again, I THINK I AM HAVING HEAD TRAUMA. (literature burnout, I guess)

There seems to be an endless amount of homework to be done. And since most of them include using this stupid piece of junk metal of a laptop, I spend most of the time playing mindless miniclip games and going to wikipedia to search on useless things. And I actually spent about 10 minutes on the subservient chicken website from ages ago.
I hate the internet! And don't tell me it's ironic for me to be blogging about how I hated the internet, because I might just bite your head off. I hate homework, and schedules, and feeling bad because I can see no use of me being in this world where efficiency is the key, time is money, and procrastination is a sin. Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if all humans were to die off or morph into brainless birds, because then we wouldn't harm the Earth, or kill all those animals, or think so much about earning money and all that, because our little bird brains couldn't even begin to comprehend those stuff. Or if we were all dead then, well, just that.
I don't know what's the aim of all these economic stuff, and GP, and over-analysing every single thing, even happiness. I mean, why would you want to analyse happiness, and measure happiness? Why must everything be reduced into economical, analytical things? Who cares?
*
What would you do if the end of the world was tomorrow?
Not homework, that's what.

Miss Clarity Cafe's food is not bad, but it's tucked into this small ulu corner. The shop, I mean, not the food. :(
Soke May is THE pickiest eater ever. :/
But the cheesecake? Well, she just can't refuse man. I mean, it was creamy, cheesy, yummy, cheesy, creamy. I like cake. :D
Okay, so I have limited vocabulary. I checked the thesaurus and there isn't any positive synonym for "cheesy" okay. Unless you want to hear about how vile the cake was, then there are plenty of them. However, I shall attempt "creamy"--the cake was luscious, fluffy, velvety and rich but not too cloying=YUM. *.*
Enough about the cake, though. T.T

We went to watch L change the World, which isn't as intense (?) as the first two. But still, for two dollars, what more can you ask for? $_$

I'm broke. :[
I really must start doing my homework. Like, seriously. SHEET! (of paper) !_!
You know, I think only teenagers and young people (18 going on 80 in Soke May's case) get this feeling of being unsure of the future and yet caught up in the rush and flow of the present. I will really miss it, this uncertainty and hope for your future, the feeling that you can do anything and everything you dream of. :>
I think being a party planner is cool. Or a movie reviewer. Or something. ?_?

Now I know how the white rabbit in "Alice in the Wonderland" feels, because there really is no time! I'm late. Have you read "Alice in The Wonderland"or "Through the Looking Glass"? I really cannot understand "Through the Looking Glass", because it is so, so, so abstract and weird. Sorry for all the double inverted commas. Force of Literature essay writing habits. Oh no. Lit.
I'm currently slacking online. I'm not even starting on my Budget Analysis. Man.
I think sputnik is a funny word. Haha.
I found a really cool word! Zeugma, the use of a word to modify or govern two or more words when it is appropriate to only one of them or is appropriate to each but in a different way, as in to wage war and peace or On his fishing trip, he caught three trout and a cold.
Okay, okay, I have no life.
Bufonidae are true toads.
I should start on something.
ZZZZZZZ.

It seems as though everyone is getting tensed up and high strung nowadays. When I dropped my calculator, Judy positively screamed, and when we were on the MRT speaking of a taboo subject and it's taboo evil tyrant, Chip positively careened into an unstoppable tirade on the tyranny of Tan.
No, I revise that, it seems as if everyone is hating Tan the Tyrant more than ever. I mean, everyone loves a good analogy every now and then, but seriously, are we making immature, unreasonable demands? Is she implying that all the other schools' HODs (of the taboo subject) deserve to get their ears chewed of by their students? How are we supposed to know that statistics show that students who had those packages basically regurgitated everything? We were just trying to get some help from you guys, who knew that you would deem that as immature and lack of motivation and self-initiative? Yea, we knew that there were some pretty great books and magazines available in the library, but we thought you could provide us with notes which were better, and more insightful, and more (taboo subject)-oriented, because seriously, failing the (taboo subject) tests were demoralising and made us think we were not getting it right, or were just plain stupid.
And what's with the complimenting us on how we had improved over time, and then going to another class ans telling the students how we wrote or thought "immaturely"? Is this the sort of complexity of the mind and intellectual depth you want us to have? Because to me, it seems to be, uh, what's that term again, oh, HYPOCRISY.
Let me get this straight. It's not like I want the notes desperately, or that I even want the notes, but really, it's a matter of asserting our views; we feel the need to have notes and packages, and we ask for them, what is so wrong about it? And even if you absolutely refuse to give us the notes, must you shoot us down and make it as though we were spoilt insolent children asking for newer clothes, or the latest toys? And the comparison between toys/clothes and notes is not a reasonable one; we want to improve ourselves, gain knowledge, not dress like sluts or play with teletubbies.
If only you were merely tyrannical, it would be alright, but what's with all the double-facing and speaking in tongues (ok, ok, she did not do that)? Or were you suggesting that we were absolutely immature before, and had improved over time to become less immature, but were still immature nonetheless? If that is so, you are not only tyrannical and hypocritical, but also a deceptive liar.
RARGH.

That was harsh and negative and all that is bad, which Cecilia absolutely condemns. Man, if I believed in Karma, I would have been believed myself to be heading towards a hellish sort of next life.
But some things are better said, if not they will remain in your heart and you may actually implode or spontaneously combust. Because I think these sort of thoughts are toxic and corrosive and may very well be organic compounds such as benzene, which, upon ingestion, would probably cause you great harm or death (well...).
At least I'm not the suicidal type, if not my unexpressed/unexpressable thoughts would have led me to die many times over.
