You know, I will miss the lessons, and the breaks we have, and so many things I cannot put into words. Even though the school is seriously getting less disciplined and the teachers more annoying, and even though I always whine about stuff like journals and homework, today I feel like kissing all my books and thanking all the teachers.

I don't know what to do. Should I do the photo collage thing and get it over and done with? Or should I do the AJC paper? Should I apply to US colleges or just screw the entire troublesome procedure and stay in Singapore, perks and all? (what perks?)

I should get offline and start working on the prelims revision (which I haven't started).

My to-do list grows exponentially everyday, and I have decided to put off GP journals (I feel so bad, but really...), and focus more on literature. (Tell you a secret: I have never read Othello. Shhh.) My literature is like.. going no where. Normally I would blog about how I hate she-who-shall-not-be-named, but I have run out of steam to actually rant on about her shortfalls and screw-ups. But I believe the Lit students can all make it past this period of darkness and come out as stronger and better people!

My dad is watching the Olympics (track and field). I think shot-putters are freaky, because they have to roar whenever they throw something. Like "WE ARE THE BULKY PEOPLE WHO THROW HEAVY STUFF REAL FAR! HEAR ME ROAR!"

But the Olympics aside, I still haven't decided which Uni to apply for, because the application fees are exorbitant (for some). And those which are free are the women's colleges. Okay, i do see and agree with their cause of empowering women, but really, a women's college? Imagine the high concentration of oestrogen there. And how much Yin-Yang imbalance exists there. :P

And speaking of Uni applications, this period is just crazy. I've never known how someone can look for Unis/Colleges, study (I haven't started...), write personal statements/essays, take random standardised tests, and fret about the prom.

Hey, I'm not the one fretting about prom. It's Linette. :D She was asking me whether it was better to overdress or underdress. Oh, but I do agree that the H2 Literature people would have a crazy time sourcing for prom clothes.

Argh. But enough about prom. I'm not even sure what Major or what college/Uni I want to go to! It's either journalism, psychology (I dunno?), Literature (which is just crazy talk). Well, something in the Social Sciences or Arts and Humanities area. D:

Which means I need to ace Literature. And maybe GP. And Econs (haha). And Chem and Maths. Er, never mind.

I am so stressed out!!! Well, compared to other people I am relatively unstressed, because reality hasn't hit home. In fact, I am a hippie in comparison. Gah.

You know, I really admire people who can write a good GP essay on topics such as politics/science and technology/Singapore/education. Because to be able to dissect this sort of (disgusting) question is well beyond my limits. I am one of those loser-types who depend on weirdass questions which are relatively interesting (and which I am interested in) to score decently. If Cambridge decides to slash off weirdass questions, I would cry.

I am actually proud of NUS, because it is like, 33rd out of all the Universities. I'm just not sure whether I should stay in Singapore, because I think it's about time I get off my butt for a while. :D

Anyway, the fun run some short 1 km plus, so we walked/crawled and sang along the way. Then after the run we took bus 29. Which was jam-packed, Xumei was on the verge of fainting. I cannot say that this was the PE department's best work. Because it wasn't.

But the gossip session (sorta) at Burger King was fun. :D I wonder if office politics are that much fun. Or maybe it's just the same-old "Oh, Teo backstabbed Goh in front of Boss" story, which isn't half as funny as our gossip.

I was just gonna type a whole para about how I'm was going to miss these days next time. But I just cannot bring myself to it. I guess it's too early, and probably too overwhelming.

So, I'm going to blog about light stuff.

I went to watch Red Cliff (Chi Bi) yesterday, and I think I'm going to analyse some non-existent symbol for the assignment. Like the sword motif (there's a sword motif) and how it symbolises some random riff-raff.

Should I retake? My writing sucks, like hell, but I got 800 for Critical reading and 720 for Maths. But my Writing only like, 590! WTF! Lousy like shit can.

So it's a 2110, but a sucky one. D: Dammit.

Okay, not my best Paint(c) artwork. But I so do not look like Sailormoon! Eh, tell you a secret. I have a Sailormoon and gang poster on my bedroom wall. It's from eons (like, 10++ years ago) ago, and it's really dusty (I think), and probably worth thousands (right). My bedroom actually belongs more to a 5 year old, but hey, who cares?

Anyway, I think the school magazine thingy is freaky. I mean, a photoshoot? And I don't have photographs from Secondary 1 to 3, except the class photos. Darn.

And the quote thing.. You know which quotes I hate the most? I hate quotes like "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail", because it sound so obnoxious and know-it-all-ish, I feel like punching the person in the face. And also the quote about how we shouldn't complain about not having enough time, because Einstein and blah blah super genius all had the same 24 hours as us. WTF! Like Einstein ever had to do a freaking GP essay. He had the whole 24 hours to contemplate the workings of the Universe while we have to bloody jog 3 km, write GP essays, think about how "The Tempest" and "Brave New World" are "Literatures of Resistance" (which I haven't done), complete questions 8, 10 and 11 of the Ionic Equilibrium Excercise (which I haven't done either), and take 1 hour to travel from Buona Vista to Pasir Ris on a crowded MRT during peak hour.

I would so like to kick the smartass' ass. You know, if Einstein lived in the 21st Century, he would have been chucked into the nuthouse or deemed as a loser, because the first time he spoke was when he was 3 (or something), because his soup was too hot (or cold?), and today, his mum would have sent him to some stifling "enrichment class" which would have forced him to develop his linguistic skills and maybe thus kill his zest and curiosity about the Universe. And if he lived in our era, the system would have labelled him a failure, and he would have ended up as a cuckoo-head nobody. With bad hair.

But I like nice-ish quotes like "A smile is so powerful it can break thick ice" (er, not sure how it really goes), or "People come and go, but friends leave footprints in your heart" (or something like that), because they are sweet and not condescending (like the above 2).

Oh, and the eight Junior High teachers:

Mr. kiw, because he is really self-sacrificing and all that; Mrs. Lim (Maths teacher), because she's really quite okay; Mr. Hia, although he didn't teach me, many think he is nice, and I can't really think of anyone; Mr. Ken, because I really liked his LA lectures; Mrs. George, she seems nice (I really don't know my Sec2 teachers); Mrs. Wong, who likes saying funny stuff when she feels nice during Histroy (not that I remember); Mr. Lu/Loo, who is funny and cares about discipline/the school (like Mr. Kiw), Mr. Siva, because he is iconic and sarcastic (sarcasm rocks, when it is not aimed at you).

There are probably people more deserving, but my brain isn't working too well.

Oh, but here are eight I will never ever choose, unless at gunpoint:

Mr. F-shit, because even today I fell a strong, deep hatred for him which will never be resolved; Mr. F-shit, because he deserves another mention, and Mr. F-shitx6, because I feel like it. (Because no other teacher ever made me feel such strong hatred and disgust).

And the four Senior High teachers:

Mdm Nora, who is funny and nice; Ms. Ng, who is our saviour; Mdm Koh/Mr. Soh/Mrs. Chan/Mr. Cave/Mr. Tang... Man, there are so many leh. I think Senior High teachers should have more places, because, I don't know.. because the 2 SH years are like, THE TWO SH YEARS.

Er, whatever. I need Secondary 1, 2 and 3 photos! Sheet.
