I'm freakin' out about what's ahead, maybe I'll just stay in bed

I'm back from my first visit to the hostel room. Apparently the double rooms are reserved for foreign students, so I got a single room instead. There go my plans to make a bestie-roomie (more like beastie-roomie haha).

Anyway the room was quite dusty in the corners, and the drawers were quite wonky, but I guess overall it could be a lot worse. One thing though, I closed the venetian blinds and after that I had no idea how to open (I do not know venetian blind terminology, pardon me) it. I wanted to ask some one for help but decided it was too loser-ish, so in the end I made this temporary venetian blind opener, that is to say, I pulled the blinds up, and because it wouldn't stay, I just wound the taut string around the window opening thingamajig.

Hope the blinds are not spoiled because of that.

Oh, and there are no hangers, so I had to hang whatever clothes I brought there on the closet rod. Note to self: bring hangers.

And in the welcome package (which so totally wasn't worth $71 dollars! Uh, not counting the two shirts, that is) there were three magazines, one of which was Men's Health. I flipped through it and it wasn't as raunchy as I thought it would be. I mean, the title "Men's Health" gives out a sort of raunchy vibe, doesn't it? I think they gave me a man's welcome package.

Besides the other stuff in there, there is also a 15% discount voucher for Brewerkz! Beer, anyone?

This is the 299th post on this blog anyway. So when I return from the camps (if I return), it would be the 300th! A milestone to mark another milestone (by that I refer to the start of school, officially).

Oh, I have got to talk about yesterday's shopping trip. It was a failure, yet again. In terms of Choo's France shopping, we didn't manage to get a single item! War Plan 2.0 is even worse than it's predecessor. I guess I'm a better slave-driver working alone. And another fault of mine was the whole "I need to get a futuristic dress!" situation. You see, my OG's theme (or whatever) was, uh, futuristic, so I had to get one to fit the theme (well, not "had", but still). If it were retro it'd have been so much easier. Or Prison Break. Or Nautical (Yunxuan's favourite). Or even Biker Chic. But nooo, it was futuristic.

And yes, I got this rag/dress thing, because one piece was definitely cheaper than two pieces (skirt/top).

How, I don't have a laptop! I'll be out of touch with everyone for almost the whole of two weeks. T_T

I'm, uh, I'm what? I cannot remember what I wanted to type, sorry. I think the stress of the two looming camps is making my brain a bit overheated. Hm well.

HOW I WANT TO GET A LAPPIE NOW! (No, not a lapdance, you dolt, a laptop!)

Everyone says that my hall is the sporty hall (not that I would know, since I chose the hall based on its age and proximity to FASS). The only time you see the words "Vivien" and "sporty" in the same sentence is if the word "isn't" is in between them. As in, Vivien isn't sporty. I am so screwed (for the 2 Semesters I'm staying in the Hall, at least). Most probably after the Hall people see my incredulous unsportiness they'll all sign a petition to kick me out of the Hall as soon as possible.

Hopefully this sporty quality wouldn't be asked for during the camp, if not my cover would be blown. You see, you can put the girl in FBTs, but you can never put FBTs into the girl.

Hey, that's a pretty good quote. For slack unsporty people like me, I mean. Somehow I can hear someone lmfao-ing, "What, Vivien is in the sporty hall? HAHAHAHA She's gonna die!"

I am so sleepy. I think I shall attempt to begin packing my other half of the camp/hostel stuff. After watching Friends, of course.

Then tomorrow I would set off in the morning to experience life without creature comforts (eg having a bathroom where you can bathe, wash you hands, pee and poop in the same space, or never having to boil water for eveyday consumption). Also, I'd be doing my own laundry for the first time (besides the more personal pieces of laundry). Now's the chance to stop being such a wuss in life! Of course I won't hesitate going back to wuss-dom once in a while (or twice in a while), because once a wuss, always a wuss. Promise you people will come visit me in my hostel room? It would get lonely, you know, and there isn't much one can do in a bare room besides talking to herself and reading Men's Health.

Hm. If I have anything else to add I'll edit this entry, because I don't want to spoil the 300th post mark. :D

Ciao for now, dudettes.

[Edit]I must be the only person in the world who cannot open the venetian blinds, because even Google doesn't have the answer for me. According to Yunxuan all I have to do is to twist the rod (according to Choo that phrase sounds like some sexual innuendo. It so does not) and the blinds would magically go up! Maybe if I have nothing to do (because my friends don't want to visit me! T_T Hypothetically, that is) I can twist the rod and say "Wingardium Leviosa!" for some cheap thrills.

Tomorrow I'm going early to give the room a brief wipedown, because if I stay in those conditions I'd soon develop asthma. Gosh I sound like Monica (character from TV show which I'll miss).

I need an alarm clock too. And I need to find the electrical outlet (is it called that?) to charge my phone. And I need to sleep to prepare myself for tomorrow. I need a laptop.

Man I have so many needs. I think I'll just go sleep then. T_T I'm moving into a dusty room tomorrow! Hm. Guess things could be worse. I shall forget about all the stress-inducing stuff and just go nuts tomorrow. Or something. :D

Uh. Forgot what I wanted to type. I'll miss you guys though, that's for sure! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

And the Internet, which is the only way I can be connected to you guys these few weeks, unless you MESSAGE ME! Yeah, please TEXT ME! I'll get so awfully lonely at night. Wow, don't I sound desperate?

By the way, do you think it's a bad omen that in the welcome package they gave me an entire can (and by that I mean the HUGE one) of Baygon? Whoots.

I really have to get off the computer now. Goodbye people! I give you my love to last you the two lonely weeks without my blog posts. :D Unless I decide to come home and blog on the 29th. Will miss you all dearly, Buhbye. [/Edit]

Hello again. I have decided to wear my prom wedges instead of court shoes for the formal-office wear day. So I don't have to borrow. All I need to do now is to find the wedges and pray to whoever's out there that there wouldn't be mould growing on it. I was looking for my choir court shoes (and found them somewhere in the store room), and there were some patches of white stuff on it. I didn't look closer, but I guess those patches were mould patches brr.

Peep toe wedges are nice!

I am so hungry.

Bye again! I am turning into a blog-o-holic. I think it's probably because I won't have time (or the laptop) to blog in the next few weeks. And speaking of that, I really need to get myself a laptop.

PS If you guys are going for teoheng, I am free on the 29th July, since it's just registration, and mine is a morning slot. But go ahead without me if no one is free on that day and if everyone (but me, that is) is free on some other day. I am such a magnanimous person! (shameless bitch! :D)

PPS I need to psych myself up for the camps! Ahem. You will have fun at the camps! You will make lots of friends at the camps! You will be happy during the camps! The camps will help save the world! The camps are the only things worth living for! Camps are love! (phew that was difficult) Now if I just read this a hundred times a day, I'll be fine.

PPPS Okay, seriously, I need to sleep to prepare for the trials tomorrow (shopping with Choo, haha). Ciao, babes!
Blogger is screwing up on me
20:25

Hello humans who are not currently busy with various camps!

I just got some email inviting me to take up a second major in management in the Business school. That's the second weird thing which has occured on the Internet today, including the weird blog post typing box size reduction, which has now shrunk to the size of around seven centimetres.

I would say it looks cute if not for the fact that it is highly irritating.

So, management huh? I'd be crazed if I took that up, since I have no talent in managing anything.

Ugh this small box really puts me off blogging. Good things don't always come in small packages (and I'm the living proof of that, hahaha I am so shameless).

Since when did Li Choo fake her pregnancy?

Anyway I have broken the news (this is the phrase right?) to my family, and I think my sister is ignoring me because I said I couldn't come home three times a week. Really, that would be wasting a perfectly good hostel room. And honestly if I were her I'd be elated to be rid of a pesky older sister any time of the day.

Anyway, I really need to get packing, and shopping. Yes, I have a crisis! The camp requires us to have two sets of smart-casual attire, which comprises of either a dress or a skirt/blouse combo. Personally I don't really like wearing either, but that doesn't mean I can't make use of that as an excuse to buy more clothes. Oh, and I need a pair of dark-coloured shorts, because besides my elastic-less old PE pants and a new pair of FBTs (straight cut and the largest size I could find, so that it would be relatively long), I have nothing else. I would also like a pair of nice strappy sandals, but looking at my budget for the remaining of this year, I think the hopes of me having enough to buy a pair are really slim.

Bah.

I shall go dunk my head.

Sigh I am filled with apprehension towards the packing (especially the underwear part, old mangy underwear do not make good public displays), the lugging my bags to the hostel, and, obviously, towards the camps.

What the hell was I thinking, right?

Ahh where the heck is the TV remote?

I guess it's time for an extreme makeover in terms of my antisocial attitude. Ahem. I shall now try to stop being such a loner during camps, thinking that people are boring an not worth my attention. I shall make funny sarcastic comments since people seem to like those (hahaha, right). I shall smile more because according to Choo, I didn't smile during the Sec2 camp (in which she had the misfortune to be in the same group as I) and I looked like I was pissed off with the entire world. Lastly, I shall, uh, stop dreading the camps, because that would most definitely lead to a self-fulfilling prophesy of me not making friends at the camps.

See, I have over-analysed, over-prophesised, and over-(whatever eh he)ed everything. Which means I am now mentally calm and ready for the shopping trip tomorrow! Whoots.

Damn I'm going to miss cable when I move to the hostel.

I want to watch UP when it opens! Since it would be barely the start of school, I should still have some free time, I think (yes, yes, I am pretty good at kidding myself). The reviews for the movie mostly seem to be good, and I have free GV tickets which expire in August (meh).

Rawr. I want to buy a dress! Yeah yeah, stop staring with that stupid shocked look on your face. :D I mean, it's bloody FASS. Moo.

Wow this post looks really long in this pathetic box.

I shall leave now. Choo still hasn't replied me whether she'll bring me court shoes tomorrow. For some unknown reason the Hall camp requires us to dress formally (as in, office-formal), and they listed 'court shoes'. Pesky, pesky.

Up, up and away! Yeah, that was a lame attempt. Goodbye, my loves! ^3^
happy days are ahead!

Hall orientation description:

"The evil Dr Skrull is envious of the attention that hero Max gets. Knowing that he will not be able to beat hero Max head-on, Dr Skrull decided to travel back time to kill hero Max’s baby self. As the entire story unfolds, freshmen will be going through a series of games and activities in order to protect hero Max. The freshmen will have to be brave difficult terrains, crawl through a tedious tunnel and fight out with Dr Skrull using some ranged weapon."

Oh no, I'm going to die out there, aren't I? Die in the battlefield facing evil Dr Skrull and his minions.

Oh my god, I think I'm going mad.
hallelujah, 2nd August
01:30

Oh I just realised that I'm not actually free on the 29th either, since my registration date is on that date. Whoots!

I think I'm going to die of exhaustion anytime in the next few weeks, ffs.

Sleep beckons, I'm enticed. Bye people! :D
I'm freakin' out
00:39

I have a shoulder pimple.

I have a lip zit.

...

I am freaking out big time because I got an email saying that I've been accepted by the hall (again, what hall wants a third-rate hostelite like me?) only today, and suddenly I am bombarded by attachments and it's crazy information overload time for me.

And not only that, I just had a rude shock because the check-in date is 23rd July, which is pretty much two days from now. And then there is Hall orientation from 24th to 28th July and on the 1st of August (and from what they type, it seems as though the camp starts on the 23rd and lasts until 1st August). And it's compulsory (at least it seems to be so). Plus I've seen the packing list and it is not pretty. Ten pairs of dark coloured shorts? I only have one. Uno. Satu. Oh my gosh I am freaking out really badly even though my typing seems to reveal an oasis of calm.

Because I also signed up for the FASS camp, which is from 30th July to 7th August (excluding 1st and 2nd August). My only free days are 29th July and 2nd August once this whole camp situation begins. Oh my god I am so fuhreakin' out. *Hyperventilates*

I haven't packed anything. Zilch. Nada. I haven't told my family that I got accepted into the hall, because I only just checked my email. I am not in the mood for a crazy week long camp at all. I haven't shopped for my Uni clothes! Oh my gosh oh my gosh what have I gotten myself into? I don't even know my roomie! I haven't even thought of what to bring to the hostel! Besides, I haven't even replied to the email because I have so many questions to ask the nice hostel person. Oh-am-gee. OMG. O_O

I just calmed myself down a notch by wiki-ing "freaking out" and "hyperventilate". Not much, but at least I don't feel like mutilating myself now. I can practically hear my savings crying out in horror because I have to dig out shopping money and $450 plus to pay for the advanced hostel fees and $71 for the welcome package (it better not be cup noodles, I'd go ape shit crazy). I've decided not to ask my parents for money anymore, and this decision is making my heart bleed, because hell, I'm not very affluent since I've only ever worked for 9 days. Thank god for NETS, which pretty much allows me to spend money without having to check my account balance too often, so I can pretend to be oblivious to how much I'm actually using.

[Digress] I owe Chip an apology, since the hostel comment was apparently made by Miss Lee. Sorry! However, it still does not change the fact that Chip is indeed ♥boy-crazy♥.[/Digress]

I shall be calm. Ugh. I should have applied to the peaceful PGR, and have some non-rah-rah fun with Judy and gang. But then again maybe I'll make some new friends at the camps. Maybe not, but one can hope, right?

*gulp*

Okay, I shall not trouble myself with these earthly problems; I shall elevate myself to think beyond the physical plane and its insignificant troubles, because what are we, but specks of dust in the divine plans of the Universe?

Yeah haha. Bye :D
I don't feel like sleepin' no more

I am so zonked. I swear I can see my eyebags grow exponentially, since I keep staying up late these few days doing nothing. Last night I stayed up till 2 plus watching this horrible B grade movie on Channel 5, about this incredible mind-reading creature buried deep beneath Earth's surface, titled Sea Ghost. Ooh scary. Then after that ended I watched Just for Laugh Gags, and this show about wild commercials.

And today, here I am at 2 in the morning, talking to Yunxuan about Miss Berms' desperate fashion situation (among other topics).

I've just finished reading Cecilia Ahern's PS I Love You, which makes for a very good Sunday read if you have nothing better to do. It's not a very well-crafted book, and some of the descriptions she uses are quite cringe-worthy and irrelevant. I cannot remember the particularly bad similes off the top of my head (it being 2.16am), but believe me, they were really weird and dodgy. But it's still a romantic idea, come on, your beloved husband sending you touching letters after he departs (I mean, passed away)? So sweet! So anyway, if you're looking for at least 5 hours of slow, on/off reading, go borrow this book from the library or something. It's not the best book but at least it makes you feel less bored.

But really, it's not a great book. Maybe you can make it better by immersing yourself totally in one of those sadder chapters where the loving, dying husband goes all out to leave something for his wife, and then urging yourself to get a little teary-eyed.

Or not.

Anyway my life feels so empty now. Soon school would be starting (I know I've been repeating this ad nauseam), and then we'd all be too busy with our own mundane studying lives, sharing new inside jokes and classroom gossips with new friends. Oh gosh.

I feel like gushing about random stuff but my brain refuses to listen to me, so I think I shall be going to sleep soon.

Wouldn't it be cool to work in a Fashion magazine?

Okay, okay, I'm leaving. Buhbye babies.

The nice hall people haven't contacted me, so now I think my chances of getting one of the leftover rooms are slightly less that 0.05%. I guess I'll have to take the train then, so depressing. I was thinking maybe it'll be easier to make friends if I stayed in halls, since when you live with people 24/7, chances are you'll be communicating with them more.

I am usually very antisocial, in case you people have not noticed. When it comes to strangers, I mean. That is probably why I loathe talking to those irritating salespeople promoting their bank account systems (whatever you call them). It's different from talking to would-be friends, but it still involves the same awkward, cringe-worthy moments. Except in the salespeople case I usually give a grimace and say, "Uh, no thanks, I have not much money to save anyway.."

Time for a lousy metaphor! Old friends are the old stinky t-shirts of life; you are so comfortable around them that you feel like you have nothing to hide. Well, of course you still have some things to hide from your old friends, but those are relatively fewer. And that's why the game Truth or Dare was invented, you know, so that the things you hide from your friends can be revealed. We don't play that enough. (Uh, actually we never play that)

I feel like such a failure! I haven't made a new friend in such a long time, and over my nine days of work I'd only managed to form very brief acquaintances. And I won't count those random people (some from Arabian countries, from the looks of their display names) who add me on MSN and I blocked, heaven knows how they got my email anyway. And then I ignored this salesperson who texted me about some savings account and asked for my email so as to send me some information on the account thing (gave the gmail one) and wanted to add me on MSN (my text: "Uh no lah, later you keep asking me to sign up for the account", the reply: "Siao arh, I don't do force selling blah blah something along those lines, :D", my reply: "Okay haha :D", which all make for some pretty good avoidance small talk).

After all the convoluted shite above, my point is, I suck at making friends! Oh-am-gee how how?

And speaking of emails, I am so sick of the Brightsparks emails flooding my gmail inbox. Damn you, get the hell out of here! So I sent those to the junk folder, lest they remind me of my scholarship failure (MofE (epic phail), SPH (bad essay on my part, I admit), MICA (Didn't call me after I said I couldn't make it for the interview)). Burn, Brightsparks, burn!

I blackened that part so you wouldn't have to see my defeatist attitude. However, it's not entirely blacked out since I cannot find the exact shade of grey of the skin, BAH. So I slashed it too. Don't bother reading it, it's there just for its cathartic effect.

Now that I'm all cheered up (well, relatively), I shall blog about HP! The movie and lunch cleaned me out, I'm now so, so broke. (Damn, Daniel Radcliffe has really long eyelashes! I'm watching GOF now) It was fun meeting up though, Chip has gone polka-crazy and ♥boy-crazy♥. Here are some examples:

Chip on overseas buddies:
"I hope I get a male buddy!" (and something about hoping he'll look like
Damien Baker or whatever his name was)

Chip on hostel rooms (when I said that my reply was late):
"Later they give you a guy room mate, you must be hoping that right?" (to
which we replied that it was her who hoped that that would happen)

Chip on some random topic (was it nice clothes?):
"Then you can hit on guys!" (Me: "Hit on guys? Who do you hit on?")

Sorry Chip, couldn't resist teasing you and your boy-craziness. :D

Moaning Myrtle is a really horny ghost, isn't she? I digress again--well, not really, since we're on the topic of being boy-crazy. So..

I need more bottoms (and no, by that I do not mean I need another butt. One humongo one is more than enough), because I only have two pairs of jeans, one pair of white knee length ugly crops and one pair of white shorts. I cannot survive on four bottoms for four years. Curse you, FASS, and all your fashion conscious students!

I'll be back if I can think of more things to blog. Right now it's Potter time! Not that it's that exciting, but hey, it's something to do, rather than stare blankly at the computer screen thinking about what to type next.

Goodbye, dahlings!
Guess who's back?
Thursday, July 16 16:40

No, I really have no idea what title to post this under, so, I'm back! Please pardon me for the one week plus of absence from this blog (I still love you! Don't leave me!), I really had nothing to blog about. Actually, I did have some stuff to blog about but I was too lazy; you know me.

I went shopping with Miss "I'm going France can I wear my berms?" on Tuesday, and I have to honestly say that it was a total get-ass-kicked failure. We spent more than three hours roaming the pathetic shops at Parkway, and I managed to coerce her into buying a plain yellow (I wanted to force her to get a white shirt, but decided against it) shirt from DP because it was one of the cheapest shirts you could find there. I am so sick of DP now, by the way, after foraging through all the discount scraps and ending up with nothing. It's a miracle I did not throttle Miss Berms to death, since she wouldn't buy anything above twenty dollars. Plus she kept whining (okay, not strictly "whining", which is more of Chip's forte) about wanting to go home, so I had to act like a slave driver.

Yes, I am a slave-driver when it comes to helping sartorially-challenged individuals. I admit I am also somewhat sartorially-challenged (no money no clothes bad hair) but at least I won't think of wearing my berms and red Fido-dido shirt to France to study--actually I don't have berms, I only have board shorts--, which is a fashion crime punishable by death. Really. Unless one has the figure of a model, great hair, the face of an angel, or an undeniably quirky sense of style, it's pretty much impossible to pull off the berms+big shirt look, much less pull off that look in France (read: Home of Paris, Fashion Capital).

Damn I wish Tim Gunn were here to help, he would throw out Choo's entire closet without hesitation. (Tim Gunn: "What is that?" *Gasps in horror, pointing at school tees and berms*) But since he isn't here, Choo has the next best thing (right.), the (other) slacker's club girls! We were busy discussing the Miss Berms' big French wardrobe makeover online Monday night (among other topics), and I'm sure after my initial failure we can draw up a war plan which will not fail.

For the record, I am very sorry I failed. T_T

And speaking of clothes, I also have to buy more shorts, because they are seriously comfortable to wear in the heat! I've been deprived of this pleasure since, like, forever (which is airhead talk for since I was born), because for some reason I never bought any shorts. Okay, the "some reason" refers to my fat legs, but who cares? Shorts+fat legs pwn!

Which brings me to the topic of hostels (actually, it doesn't remotely bring me to that topic, but I don't wish to blog about clothes anymore, since it makes me depressed for I have no money now). I missed the hostel room reply date (6th July, I checked on the 9th), and apparently I did get the room (that is, before I screwed up and didn't reply) because this nice girl called me a few days ago to tell me to send an email telling the authorities of the hall that I was still keen to get a room, and to say that I missed the reply date (due to innate stupidity). Why they are desperate for third-rate hostelites like me I have no idea. Anyways, in a shocking turn of events (whatever), I have decided to sign up for the FASS orientation camp. Nothing like 4 days of trudging activities and Sentosa fun (almost certainly they'll be some Sentosa action, oh joy!) to kickstart my brain into school mode. Oh my gawd.

Oh, in case you haven't noticed (you really should check your ears then), the music widget has returned! For no reason, if you hate it just stop the music, grumpy. The first song is really pretty old (in terms of short-lived poppish songs, that is), but I figured with school starting soon, I really need a perky song to cheer me up. I've been toying with the idea of changing a blog address/server to one of those wordpress or livejournal types, but I've grown so used to the designed/convoluted skins at blogskins.com that I don't think I can stand the simple designs of the others. Some other time then. Or not, since I've been using this blog for such a long time that it'll be a pity to kill it off. I am a sucker for memories and pseudo-affection.

I've been on this page for more than an hour. I don't think I have anything else to say. I probably do, but my memory's worse than a leaky cauldron (Harry Potter lingo!), so, ta!

I'll be back soon, I still love you, remember! :D (Don't worry, I don't have some sort of weird unsolicited crush on any of you readers, I just feel like showing some affection.

PS. Omg I just checked out the CORS bidding thing for E. Lit, Psychology and Communications (and yada yada New Media), and I have to say that I am really confused. Damn I should have went to NTU (nah just kidding, if I went there I would be messing with the divine structure of hostel pairs). But seriously, the E. Lit modules gave me a headache (a metaphorical one. No wait, I can almost feel a headache setting in). I guess I'll just let these matters settle themselves. Uh, you know, like how some problems seem to solve themselves without your intervention?

Whatever. Bye, babes!
Typing maniac
Saturday, July 4 23:23

Blogger is behaving like a turd today (and pretty much everyday when I try to post any pictures), so I cannot show you what I did on Wednesday. Or was it Thursday? Anyway, point is, I packed my clothes cabinet!

I wanted to post pictures of my demolition process, nah, not really, more like 'shifting horrible clothes around the cabinet but throwing nothing out' than demolition, but you get my drift. I also wanted to post the picture of all the school tees I have managed to collect over the past few years. I even have my Pri5 camp one. And this really adorable Sailor Mars costume my semi-seamstress auntie made for me when I was 6 or something. My sister has this Sailer Chibi Moon one. Super gay (and cute), I tell you.

So anyway, I thought I had stumbled upon blogging gold when I took all those pictures out of boredom, and had wanted to blog about them (with captions under then pictures, like "Clothes which I'll probably never wear again in my life unless I want to be labelled a social pariah", and also "WTF was I thinking?"). Too bad you people will never see that piece of Pulitzer-worthy writing. Now my cabinet is in a sad state, because after the entire search-and-destroy mission (which flopped devastatingly, by the way), I was forced to push all the "clothes I'll NEVER EVER touch again but cannot throw out for fear of being slaughtered by my mother" to the back of my cupboard; the stack was about one foot high (I judge by the length of subs).

I would like to donate the clothes, but I really don't feel like making my way down to Salvation Army (I don't even have a clue where that is) to donate them. Oh and just in case you think I'm planning on donating moth-eaten clothes, no, they are in fine condition except they are either too short, too tight (aka "clothes that you can fit into but find it impossible to breathe", haha), too "OMGWTFISTHAT?", or just too blah. The number of clothes under these categories far outnumber my wearable clothes, thus my material-craving, Earth-bound soul is telling me to go shopping. Yes I am far, far from achieving the Buddhist state of Nirvana.

*

Right now I'm playing Typing Maniac, and I am now a VIKING. Muahaha feel my immense meat-headed violence and crude language. Fear me!

Okay I shall not bore you all anymore. This post, I believe, is typos galore, so, whatever!

Bye!
Insomnia
19:49

Right now I'm watching Harry Potter (again, yes, I am such a noob) on Channel 5. Daniel Radcliff was so cute! He used to have a non-existent jawline, and now..

He was (was.) cuter than the whatever Baker guy Chip is crazy over recently. He's an online exhibitionist of sorts, the Baker guy.

So anyway, insomnia huh? I have that too. Every night after watching A Life of Hope at 11 (which, by the way, wouldn't be such a bad show if not for the whole "NKF is so godly blah blah messages" unsubtly added into the dialogue), and listening to 98.7 on OKTO at midnight for a while (I so need a radio), I'll lie in my bed and try in vain to sleep. I would try everything; counting sheep (I lose count at around 15, because I suspect I have a short attention span), thinking of a colour and listing everything of that colour (pink: cotton candy, the pink part of the rainbow, agar-agar...), lying in a foetal position, lying flat on my face.. the works, and nothing, absolutely nothing works.

I would then lie awake thinking about ghosts and whether one would appear to me (because recently I've been re-reading True Singapore Ghost Stories, which is pretty much trash, but good trash), thinking about buying a pair of exercising shorts ala PE shorts, in case I'm struck by the exercise bug (hahaha), because my PE shorts are in a horrible state, since the elastic is pretty much gone, and with every step I walk it'll slide down so much such that I'd have to pull it up lest it drops, humming songs in my head (which seriously does not help), or, the most fun, thinking about going shopping and what I would be buying (although I almost never think about the money I would require). Those suggestions in blue will certainly not help in curing insomnia. I'm so bored I'm resorting to colour.

Oh by the way, I finally have my own ATM card, although the money in it is a fraction of what a certain bioeng girl has. Ahem ahem. Which means I can now spend money without thinking! No, I am not that crazy lah.

I've always wanted my own Ollivander's wand. Okay never mind that. The movie Ollivander doesn't match the image I have of him in my mind. Ooh, the phoenix feather wand!

So, insomnia. Sometimes after struggling in the bed (and by that, I mean mentally) for an hour or so, I'll inexplicably fall asleep. Then I would wake at 4am for some unknown reason (which sucks!), and fall asleep again. So I'm using the computer to tire me out, since when I'm online I usually sleep at around 2 in the morning. Don't ask me what I do, because really, I don't know. I think I just waste my time googling and wiki-ing random stuff.

Uh. I'll be back in a while to blog about my attempts to keep busy during the weekdays. Harry Potter time now! Yes I am that sad.

Ciao!
